Used mesh in 12 inch diameter cylinder, 12-18 in in ground and the rest above ground to prevent wildlife from eating plants.

For 1/2" hardware cloth no one can come close to beat walmart's price including shipping. Hands down no competition not even Lowes/Home Depot/Tractor Supply. Good job Walmart! Using direct on the ground for a raised row garden and 3' high fence around parameter. Keeps out the moles/voles and other little critters that want to chomp on my vegetable garden. Still plants can root through the 1/2" holes. If the critters want to prune the roots that's ok as it will make for a more healthy plant.

I have Beagles, this wire they can't chew though. Won't hurt their feet. Easy to clean.

The very best price I have found on the 3' hardware cloth. Shipped free. It's not the big pitt bulls that live down the road that kill my chickens. It's the tiny mink, voles, etc that get into a one inch hole.

Came on time, good product. I was contemplating on using 1/4" vs 1/2" for my garden bed base. But looks like this would do the trick of keeping the rodents away. Was very easy to pin it down and setup the fence!

It's a great material for lining your raised garden so as to keep out underground intruders. Best of all, it is non-corrosive. It was shipped right to my door - ready to install.

Upon half way using the roll there was a good 24ft out of a 50ft roll we couldn't use due to poor manufacturing. This left us short on the job and needing to pay triple for the product.
