I shopped around and this was the best price I found for a 150-foot roll of 2-inch mesh. We ordered 2 and they arrived a day earlier than expected. The 2-inch mesh has much bigger openings than the 1-inch but it works well for our purposes -- we used it to create an enclosure for our ducks and for revamping our chicken run. I wouldn't use it to secure a coop from predators -- we bought hardware cloth for that.
This is just chicken wire and fine for keep adult chickens out of garden or using as a 'roof' to keep predators out of chicken coops or runs. However, we bought this for the baby coop and they ran right through it the first day. 2" is just too big for babies. Ordered the 1" wire and that did the trick. This would actually be effective if you were trying to isolate the adult chickens and let the babies run wild.
Great product and price is right on.
Was thrilled walmart had this wire in 5' height in a roll 150' long. Couldn't find it locally. Arrived on time, too.
GOOOOD DEAL
Exactly what I was needing and came in a timely manner.
It done well except it was really wired in roll a lot
Doesnât look like the wire in the pictures. The gaps are much bigger and the wire is thinner looking in person. This will not keep out ground predators. But, itâs perfect for putting over the top of your chicken run to keep out birds of pray and animals that would scale your fence. Would buy again for this purpose.
Gages, mesh and price get bigger. Quality goes down Before one company got a near total control of the mstket it was possible to get 19 guage (thicker) chicken wire. 20 guage is extremely flimsy stuff and s/b used for containment only it won't keep your animals safe from predators. Raccoons and Possums can rip right through it.
It is a complete failure! Practically every wild animal can go through 2 inch hole: rabbits, squirrel, quail -- every wild thief imaginable can just walk through the 2 inch hole! If somebody make a fence at least 4 ft tall (up to 6) and bottom 2 ft 1 inch NOT 2 inch (top part can be 2 inch), I'd immediately buy it. But seem such a product does NOT exist (on this shopping site).
