Sturdy yet soft yarn. Easy to work with. Great yarn for beginners, no fraying. Great yarn for baby items because it's machine wash and tumble dry. One of my favorite yarns to work with. Nice color selection also.

THIS TONAL JUMBO YARN MATCHED TO THE COLOR I NEEDED.... IT HAD 595 YARDS..... SOME LESS YARDS THAN THE CARON POUNDER YARN.... BE AWARE WHEN ORDERING.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sturdy yarn with a slight halo. Consistent color across different lot numbers. With a little planning, this yarn is great for wearables. A key step is to steam block the finished garment to bring needed drape and to even out stitches. Also, Contrary to what many are saying, I do NOT believe that this is the same yarn as Michael's Soft Classique. They knit up and appear similar, but after blocking, they feel quite different. Not too sure about the distribution of color. I think if used as an accent color, it's great, but as an all over pattern, it might feel like a Magic Eye painting. Still, I highly recommend this yarn.

The weight of the yarn was horribly inconsistent. The color changes are awful. The color would get darker for a couple stitches than either the color prior to or after transitioning. It made the blanket I made look like I had spilled something all over it. The colors themselves are inconsistent as well. One blue section is missing the darker blue present in the other sections entirely. The only reason I'm continuing to use it for my blanket is because I'm not giving it to anyone. I would never give anyone anything made from this yarn.

This yarn consistently has knots. When making an afghan, I do not want a knot in the middle of my project. I bought 7 skeins of the Caron Jumbo Pink Kiss. All of the skeins had no less than 3 knots, 1 skein had 7 knots. Due to all the knots and ripping out the entire row (it seemed that the knots always ended up at the almost end of the row) I had to buy a new skein, costing me more than when I bought the original skeins, because I had to order online. I could not find any in any stores around me. Very disappointed in this yarn. Will not buy anymore!
