These lights are perfect for placing in my stockade fence panels, (33 ~ 8X6 dogeared fence panels) around my backyard. I drilled a hole in the picket, about every 16th board, (about every 5 feet 4 inches) just below the 2X4 top rung. I then staplegun the wire to the bottom of the top rung. This is the farthest spacing you can achieve, in order to daisy chain the lights together. They give the appearance of a full moon type of lighting. The first light being as bright as the 20th, all connected in series. Not too bright where it lights up the whole yard, but perfect 4 navigating the yard at night. Make sure you get a 1-1/16 Inch Forstner Bit to drill the holes. It says 27.5 mm, but that creates a hole that is too big for these lights.
