Helps my dad know what time it is

I bought this for my father who is 80. Some days he forgets what day it is. Kinda like I do when I'm off work. It shows the things he wants to know. We dont use the alarm to remind him of meds so I dont know how that works, but the,day, date, dusk, and dawn you can even do military time if you choose. It helps him. I do wish it had battery backup if power goes out so didnt have to reset it.

This purchase was for a dementia patient and it worked very well for them. The illumination of the day, date and time was helpful to the patient and the care giver. At first, I was a little dismayed when it arrived as I thought it was larger but once it was turned on, it was fine.

I purchase it as a Christmas present & haven't given it to my mama yet. I did plug it up & set all the information.... I think it's going to be great.

Very good graphics for elderly clear white letters on black background for my 94 year old mother to see. Love the reminder words of morning afternoon evening and night as prompts. The only thing I thought this device had was ability to run on batteries-so it has to be plugged in all the time BUT it does not loose time when moved from room to room. All in all it has helped my mom remember time of day which helps with activities of daily living!

The display is great. I don't like how 12 noon displays as "night" rather than "noon". That will be very confusing for a person with cognitive issues. I'm considering sending it back if there isn't a fix for that (or maybe just unplugging it from 11:59 am and back in at 1:00 pm.). Set up is a little irritating, not smooth, but once you get used to it it's fine.

I was not impressed with this clock. It feels very cheaply made. It is very easy for an elderly person to pick it up and accidently switch to military time or to a different language without realizing it. My father has had it for two short days and one wrong touch changed it on him quite a few times. I ordered one from Amazon and it works perfectly for an elderly person. Just my opinion.
