If you want to make a modification on this it would be just drillings hole in the back of the top shelf for either the receiver or a set of bookshelf speakers. Besides that it fits a bunch of records (like 50). I can play my vinyl without any interference from shaking or anything, so it's pretty stable. It looks nice too.
Absolutely love this item. It was very easy to follow the instructions and build once I had the right tools. Very durable and great for storage for my records and other music items.

It's smaller than I thought. The photo online is deceiving. You cannot put as many items in the cubby as pictured. Go by the dimensions and not the photo of the product.
