We really love this chicken coop. It’s sturdy, well-made, and looks great in our yard. The design is very practical, with plenty of space for the chickens to move around comfortably. Assembly was easier than we expected. My husband put the whole coop together in about half a day, and the instructions were pretty straightforward. Once it was done, everything felt solid and secure. The raised design, ramp, and wire mesh work well, and the coop stays dry even after rain. Cleaning is also easy, which is a big plus. Our chickens got used to it quickly and seem very happy.
It was pretty easy to assemble, the quality for what we paid was good, but wood easily chipped on a few steps. Nothing noticeable. All in all, I was pleased with the finished product
New to the farm animal world and I came across this and I couldn’t be happier, so many doors, easy assembly, even easier to open the hatches I’m extremely excited for my animals to use this!
Has been working great for our four chickens!! A little bit small for our chickens because theyare fluffy buff orpingtons, but if they were smaller I think 6 chickens would be a good fit in it.
Very sturdy and cute chicken coop! Directions were good, all parts included! Only negative…..our chickens are Wyandotte, not small chickens. The underside chicken run is not tall enough and a small area for 6 chickens. A smaller breed would be ok! I built a large run on backside to give them more room!
It does not have a roosting bar. Those are essential to chickens. There is no room to install one. I also wish that I had noticed beforehand that it was not returnable to Walmart; I wouldn't have bought it. Still waiting to hear from seller to see if I can return it, and I'm seeing on reviews now (should have looked beforehand, but I've never had issues with returning anything at Walmart, so it didn't occur to me) that this vendor is not helpful at all, so it looks like I could be stuck with a coop I can't use and still have to buy another one.
I'm highly dissapointed in this coop, as I had high expectations and was excited about it initially. It's nice to look at and was fairly easy to put together, but that's about it as far as the positives. THERE ARE NO ROOSTING BARS, which I can't believe. Chickens sleep on roosting bars, so I made some myself out of scrap wood I had, but the living quarters are so tight that I'm not even sure there is enough room for them to make these work. This is certainly the biggest issue. I've never seen a coop without them. Secondly, the open space beneath is SO SHORT. Ridiculously short. I tried to hang normal size feeders and a waterer and there is not enough room for them and the chickens to be able to roam around them. I'm at a loss as to how these birds are supposed to have enough room to walk around and eat and drink without running into each other or the walls. Lastly, it says that there is enough room for 6 chickens, which is what I have. Mine are just barely older than chicks, so they are fine now, but when the are full size, there is no way that they will be able to live in this coop. I would say this coop could fit maybe 3-4 AT MOST. It's so dissapointing as I spent $400 on this, but will certainly have to buy another one and move the birds there and maybe I can sell this one to someone that only has a couple of birds. DON'T BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 3-4 CHICKENS AND KNOW YOU WILL HAVE TO FIGURE OUT A WAY FOR THEM TO SLEEP SINCE THERE IS NOWHERE FOR THEM TO GO OTHER THAN SITTING IN THE NEST BOXES.
Please don’t waste your money on this. It is so cheaply made that the doors warped after a light drizzle. This was after we coated it with outdoor polyurethane. The wood material is so flimsy, poorly made and will not last in ANY weather. A light breeze would knock this coop over. The height is insufficient for any chicken. The wire is flimsy with minimal ventilation. The instructions for construction are extremely hard to follow.
You need to reach out to the company to get a return. Only problem is I have Been trying to reach out to the company for a return for over 3 days now. The company will not respond to my request. I do not need this anymore and have no use for it, so now I’m out over $300 dollars If expecting a response this company won’t be the one.
This product is NOT big enough for 6-8 chickens. Mine has been up for a month with multiple issues and seller won't contact me back after sending emails to them. I don't recommend this product especially for the cost.
