When you have had enough of everything else...

ezmind February 22, 2015

SO if your a little older (I'm 55) and you have had enough of workout videos with related accessories, instant drink hypes and before and after pictures then give these no baloney straight forward good feeling videos a try. SO refreshing!

A definite must to any home practice!

Majendian October 22, 2009

I own many of Rodney Yee's DVDs and enjoy them all, but these two workouts have become my all time favorites. The Core Training section is superb and gives definite results. The Restorative section can be used at any time day or night and is a wonderful balance to a good workout or done by itself. This DVD is a definite must to any home practice.

Instant Favorite

CJordan May 8, 2012

After using Suzanne's AM/PM Conditioning for Weight Loss everyday for two weeks, I felt like I needed a little bit more. Don't get me wrong, Suzanne's DVD along with my all-natural eating habits I was already getting awesome results, but I wanted something more challenging. Boy-oh-boy! The Strength section of this DVD is tons of fun and is a great workout for folks like me who are just getting into intermediate yoga. After my first run through this workout I could really, really feel it. I actually just got finished with both Strength/Relaxation sets and it's almost like the feeling of just getting back from an hour of doing weights -- except better! Tonight was the first time I've tried the Relaxation set and it was just that: relaxing. Rodney walks you through releasing the tension from all the areas you just worked out, or, if you're a desk-jockey like me, all the areas that have been strained or neglected throughout the work day. I'm definitely going to have to buy an actual blanket for this though, because the one I used doesn't seem to work (it is a thin blanket). I rated all fives because I can see myself watching this video every day (as I have been!) While I can't speak to the long-term effectiveness, judging by the way my body feels after these workouts, I know it's working. Lastly, as for level of difficulty, I feel it is appropriately suited for early intermediate yogis, though there's no reason everyone shouldn't use it. :) Rodney is such an enjoyable instructor. His voice is soothing and encouraging -- it feels like he's in the room with you, gently guiding you through all the poses. His imagery is easy to translate into body actions and his final words always make me feel like a part of something greater. Thanks again for another phenomenal product, Gaiam!

TERRIFIC yoga practice

SweetTee January 30, 2017

Love this DVD from Rodney Yee. It's a wonderful 30 minute strengthening practice, followed by a 30 minute restorative practice. Both are great!

I've used this DVD a few times now, and I'm really enjoying it! I was having a hard time with the blanket, but I'm getting with the program now. These DVD s have helped me a lot...& I hope the folks at Gaiam tell Rodney Yee just how much he helps & inspires us out here!

Awesome yoga workout!

YogaDave January 18, 2016

I really enjoy the 30 minute workout. It is an excellent core workout, while none of the exercises are extremely difficult. I think most anyone will be able to do all of them. The 30 minutes is long enough for a decent workout, but not too long that it is hard to fit into my schedule. I tried the restorative workout once, but was not nearly as impressed. I don't recall what I did not like specifically since I only tried it one time. However, it may be a good stretching/cool-down type of workout.

Rodney Yee is great

mikk May 18, 2015

I love Rodney Yee - he provides clear instructions, offers helpful adjustments, and is inspiring and encouraging. My only problem is the background music, much too loud and overpowering. Otherwise, I highly recommend this DVD.

surprised!

opusone August 26, 2012

I do yoga 5 days a week, 30 minutes a day. I normally use the yoga for strength, stamina or flexibility dvds by Rodney Yee. I tried this to mix it up a bit. I didn't find it challenging, but it was a welcome change (the cross train segment). Although I was pleasantly surprised when I woke up the next morning and my abs were sore! So obviously it works! I will continue to use this dvd to switch things up when I get bored or feel my abs need a good workout!!

great additional of cross training into yoga.

ChasT October 29, 2014

I love the Rodney Yee yoga practice series.  The only thing that keeps me from giving a higher rating is that the videos cannot be saved on personal computers.  I use them regularly which means that they wear out and then I need to purchase again.  It isn't just the cost that bother me but do we really need to waste resources, CDs, mailing, shipping?  This all has a carbon footprint.

Meh... and bad music

jet September 25, 2016

The core work is light... I was expecting something that would make me work harder. I kept waiting for the core work to intensify, then it was over. The music is horrible (Muzak/Kenny G-ish) and WAY too loud. Tried to turn down the volume but that only makes it harder to hear today. I didn't make it all the way through the restorative flow. I was enjoying it somewhat but the music was just awful.
