Yogasleep Dohm® Classic Fan-Based White Noise Sound Machine with Adjustable Speed and Tone, Tan

Good old fashioned noise machine. No frills, no lights, no wifi and it's electric. I had one years ago for my kids. It was the only simple one that I could find! All the rest were wifi and with lights and I can't sleep with lights on! It's overpriced, but you can't have everything.

I wanted two things in a sound machine: volume and quality of sound. I wanted a machine that would be loud enough to cover up even loud sounds. I live in a house with loud, noisy people. I also wanted a sound that wasn't annoying. I wanted it to sound like a fan not static. It was worth the extra bucks because it turned out to be exactly what I wanted.

I used the old version every day ( I am a 3rd shift worker) until the machine just gave out after years of service to me. This newer version is even better. It has 2 speeds instead of one. The double twist action to change the sound/pitch is the same as the old version which worked perfect for me. during the summer my neighbor built a new house and I never heard the non stop noise. If you are looking for something that will drown out loud noises or you are a light sleeper, this is the ticket. This was my healthiest purchase. No more grumpy me.

I had one in my baby's room to help him sleep. It works great, so I decided to purchase one for my toddler's room as well. It keeps her from hearing our voices and the TV while she's in bed. It also helps me when I have a migraine and need a quiet place to rest...I love it and highly recommend it!!

This is the 3rd Dohm noise cancelling machine I have purchased. This product works as stated. It doesn't block out a fire alarm, but it does block out other annoying noises. I like the feature that allows you to have it low enough to take the edge off of regular noises. Or the option of a louder button to block out traffic noise when your windows are open. I will buy another, but my original one has lasted 4 years so far.

I purchased the older version of this machine 30 years ago, and it still works today! I gave my old one to my son because the sounds from his neighbors' apartments in his crowded apartment building in New York City were interfering with his sleep. It did the trick immediately and he loves it. I purchased this newest "sound conditioner" as a gift for my husband to help him cope with his tinnitis. It is corded, not battery operated. It has 2 settings for louder and softer, and when the lid is twisted, the size of the openings on the sides expands or contracts which also alters the sound quality. The noise you will hear is the sound of rushing air. That's it. The volume goes from soft to loud, depending on how you set it. There are no other sounds, no birds, no ocean waves, no thunder storms... This is a pure white noise machine that does the job perfectly.

Easy to use right out of the box. In my toddler's room in lieu of a fan for safety reasons. Does the job adequately... a bit louder than I expected- and that's at the lowest settings, but she's adjusted well. I like that it's on the small side. I expect it will travel with us on vacations and it was easy to find a spot for it in her room due to it's small footprint. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the purchase

Love..Love! I live off a busy 35 mph road and until I moved into this apt I had no idea what I was in for in terms of noise! I want to chuck a rock at speeders because it causes more road noise. Dont even get me started on how much louder the traffic gets when rain mixes with tires. To save my sanity I relentlessly searched for the most calm and smooth sounding machine. I was disappointed with the heavy industrial noises in the once machine that makes fan noises, and every nature sounding machine was a flop! I almost did not try this because I dislike anything that claims to make a whooshing noise because I feared it would sound like the dreaded whooshing sound that passing cars make. Well it sort of does..but is a softer more muted continuous noise. I only keep on high at peak traffic times yet its loud on high. It "blends" the traffic noise so I dont lose my mind. Would be 5 stars if it had a quieter setting. I put it in the closet to make quieter. Make sure you adjust boyh the top and lower portions of the collar because you will better find your bliss. I just bought another one last week. I keep one in the bed & one in the living room.

Machine is easy to use. It's small enough to fit anywhere. This machine has two settings. My son falls asleep and stays asleep on the high setting but I can still hear some sound breaking through on the high setting. I need white noise in order to sleep. I get more restful sleep with this machine than I did if I didn't have the machine.

The construction of this product is not even close to the sturdier one from past purchases. Cost is way out of line!
