It is loud enough to mask noise from outside. Better than digital sleeping white noise makers. Better sound, and no subliminal noise like digital noise makers. I had one many years ago, but this new one is much better. Plus you can make as loud as you want or as quiet as you want. I highly rate this product!

So far, it hits the mark for my private practice office. It muffles voices w/o sounding digital - which was the case with another brand. Its minimalistic approach and lack of unnecessary features can make potential buyers feel that the product is practical and easy to manage. It has a nice weight and feels more sturdy too than the old digital sound machine - don't need a lot of fancy choices with this product. Less is more in this case.

I can't believe I've gone so long without this machine. It's had me sleeping so soundly that I enter REM sleep every night. The ONLY thing I wish is that it was a littttle louder but I love it nonetheless.

We stayed at an Airbnb and it had the exact sound machine. It only has one sound which you can make higher or lower. We've bought two of them.

One item I really wanted was slightly pricier than the manufacturers price or Amazon price. But I decided to play several more dollars at Walmart as the product was in stock at this Walmart, and to my delight the product was in original package in pristine condition unlike Amazon. I purchased this item from Amazon and it was on Amazon box and broken. I needed to send it back. It was much cheaper but I learned my lesson. For an electronics and proxy items I need to buy from a store like Walmart and pick up, instead of shipping to home.

Pros: Consistently works as expected, very simple design/color Cons: price could be better for something so simple.

This sleep machine actually has a fan for noise so it does not have the phantom noises other machines have.

I moved into a beautiful duplex. However the people I share a wall with next door are loud, obnoxious and miserable with their lives. This does a great job at blocking their repulsive voices and I think they can't hear me either (but I'm not a loud talker anyways) however you can still hear thumps and bangs so this won't eliminate that. But this gives me a peace of mind now to relax, nap and sleep in my room.

I used to have one many years ago, back then it was good and it had three-speed mode. This one only has one speed and very low so it does not cancel out noise. I needed for meditation, so I guess back to the fan for it does a better job.
