The item works as expected. It had some reddish brown rust dust on the frame and in the plastic packaging when I opened it but after I cleaned it off with some paper towels and some cleanser it was fine. I have only used it a few times since assembly but so far it works as expected.
Assembly was easy, and there are how-to videos on YouTube if you need more help than what the written instructions provide. As for working out on it, everything works as you would expect. Bluetooth sync is a little finicky but works (wish there were a dedicated button/status indicator on the rower to let you know if it's paired with your phone, but I can't complain given the rower's low price point). There's not much else to say other than if you haven't rowed before, give it a try before committing to a home gym setup.
First, this review does not encompass longevity as only used for a month. That said, assemble was a breeze, about 2 hours (using a cordless drill and a cordless wrench), with easily understandable instructions. At this point, I write to comment that the materials of the rower far exceeded expectations and of higher quality than the air-resistant rowers at my gym. The monitor works well but is not backlit so angle is important and very bright light washes out the display. An interesting note - the water rower gives a more extensive row, that is air-resistant rower blades only slow slightly on your return, then you pull it is not until a quarter to half way back that you do not meet full resistance as the rowing pull catches up with then surpasses the already spinning blade. However, with the water rower, the water acts as a brakes - nearly stopping the blade during your return causing a much longer resistance on the rowing pull. The sound of the water? Well, it has not made me go out and buy a canoe but, to me, it does kinda give a little extra motivation. Recommend.
I use this machine every day, at least 30 minutes the performance is awesome I love it, don't wait buy yourself water rowing machine, the sound of the water has a nice effect to the exercise. Very easy to assemble good quality materials if I could give 10 stars It would be better.
I love it, the performance is awesome I had a magnetic rowing machine but the system with water is far more efficient. The assembly is easy and the instructions clear. You have to get this machine.
It is a wonderful work out especially good for my legs. Much better than gym equipment. Love that there are no distractions when I row and I can focus on doing proper upper body movements.
Good to very good. Smooth action, noise level is soft. Easy to lisyen to music or watch TV while rowing. The only issue I have had is sliding too far foward and the seat will tip off the rollers and the bar will lock the seat from sliding back. Only happens when rowing hard and I arch back a bit before sliding the chair. Causes a person to have to catch themselves so not to fall over backwards. When I keep posture all is fine. To solve I just try to not scrunch my knees up tight.
It's a perfectly fine machine. Easy to use, and assemble. Movement is very smooth, and it very sturdy. 6'-2", 255 lbs. Just above average build. Their's just not enough resistance even at the highest level. 105 water rower. I'm not looking to get all jacked using it, but theirs gotta be more than that just so I can feel it doing something. Great for someone else, just not for me. Worth the money though. At the $308 I paid with the holiday discount. Also light up the monitor. It needs a light. The water tablets were just some dust in a bag in a bottle. No biggie though. I'll gift it to someone who it's better suited for.
Overall good value for money ! They could have designed footrest more sturdy and display more brighter!!
I have no idea how this machine performs, as it never arrived. I was told “it's peak season” from both FedEx and YOSUDA, and I completely understand a few days or even a week late; however, I ordered on 12/3 and the boxes shipped on 12/6. It's now 12/24. FedEx has had the rower since 12/12. My excitement to try this machine is gone. I went with another manufacturer who has already been more responsive than YOSUDA.
