Liked: it's exactly like the picture looks. Assembly was super easy in the beginning. Side rails for safe sleeping for kids that toss and turn. Dislikes: the bars that hold the mattress is tricky to get in place. It's not as sturdy as I hoped it would be.
Fits perfectly. Great fit for my teenage son to escape to. He loves it and his brother can sleep below. Really not that hard to put together. Of course my son helped because he was very excited to get into it. lol Easy to get in and out of, sturdy, and nicely painted... and the price was great!
Great, bed, my 5 year old Son loves it. Perfect solution for small living area. Got a 6 inch memory foam mattress, which is the perfect height, maintaining the safety of the guard rails. I took my time and had it put together in a couple of hours. I recommend tightening all the bolts again after project is complete.
This bed is completely awesome. My husband and I put this together in about an hour and a half. If you have ever put together furniture, you can put this together. I only had one piece that was not clearly labeled, but it was a "double" piece so I knew which one it was. The instructions were easy to follow and very clear. The hardest thing for us, and not really hard but time consuming, was putting in the slats for the bed. We live in a single wide three bedroom trailer and my seven year old son has a small room. This completely opened his room up and he LOVES it. Even our four year old daughter, who is scared to death of heights, loves this bed. I would definitely recommend.
I bought this bed for my 9yr old stepdaughter and she loves it. Her room is kind of small and this really opens up the floorspace in her room. It is very sturdy and it does move a little when you climb up and down. My husband and I put it together and it didn't take too long. The bed is very tall, so I wouldn't recommend it for low ceilings. Overall, its a great bed for the price.
Got this for my 8 year old son. He loves it and even though it came with the 5" foam mattress, we stuck that on top of my daughter's Bunk bed and used my son's old regular mattress. It is a solid made loft bed and nice that the bed has the ladder on both ends to allow for multiple setups. The bed is solid and it does wabble a little when climbing up into it, but we have his desk under the bed and it helps stabilize the bed. Next to bolting it to some studs, it is not really going to go anywhere. We like it for the money. I would say that if you can get it without the 5" matteress and put that $40 into the cost of a basic $99 twin mattress you will like the bed better. The 5" mattress is reviewed in another listing, and just a quick note, it is okay, but you will want a solid board under it to make it feel the best it can. It is a $40 5" foam (not memory foam) mattress and so it is not a high end mattress. If you don't have high expectations of a $40 mattress, you will not be too disappointed.
My daughter loves this bed. It was very easy to set up. The only downfall is the ladder. The ladder needs to be slanted a little bit and hurts your feet climbing up it. I bought a pool noodle and put them on the ladder. My daughter has her own hideaway :)
The box arrived damaged on both ends and one side broken open. We weren't too concerned because it appeared to be packaged well. Once it was opened and we started putting the bed together, there were damaged pieces. We were very disappointed, but it was too late to pack it all up and try to send this back. Especially after the box is broken open and it is extremely heavy. I have attached pictures of the dented piece of metal and the hinge that will not lay flat.
part broke on assembly. manufacturer didnt have replacement, walmart was no help. Had to take apart everything to return. 4 hours or assemly time and over 2 hours on the phone. Buy a different product.
Bed was extremely wobbly and unstable. Felt like it was going to collapse. It never did, but the bed made a ton of sound when sleeping in it. It distracted those who slept in it and those around the bed. Would much prefer a wood option that is much more stable. Although Walmart was very generous is allowing me to return it without hassle.
