Yummiland Large Doll- Ava Ice Cream with Scented Lip Gloss, Ages 4+

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from Influenster and Yummiland's parent company, in exchange for my honest opinion. The largeYummiland doll, Ava Ice Cream, is approx. 12” tall and is made from high quality plastics that feel nice to the touch. Her arms move at the shoulders, her legs move at the upper thighs/hips, and her head pivots from side to side; I also recently noticed that her head also tilts downward at different angles, Ava's clothes are made from a more pliable plastic and the dress as well as her shoes, all have slits down the middle of them. The boots slide right on or off, but importantly, do not slip off accidentally. Her dress has 3 small “buttons” along the seam that are incredibly simple to do up or undo. Given the material of Ava and her clothing, clean up couldn't be simpler! Everything easily wipes away from the surface. Our daughter has been enjoying Ava and her adventures on her show, Yummiland. Thanks to her wide feet, she is able to stand on her own, which seems to add to their adventuring. Prior to this we were not aware of Yummiland being a show, however now, she watches it throughout the week. Ava Ice Cream also came with a DIY LipGloss kit, that our 8yr old was thrilled about. The base is already in the final lipgloss container, and they have to add the flavoring/scent and sparkles, and then mix it up really well. She was saddened when I told her there was only one lipgloss that came with the doll but quickly got over it. The doll is very well made and was well thought out for their audience. The large doe eyes make her very inviting/friendly, too.

She loves all things pink & girly so the pastel hair, sparkly dress and tiny glam accessory were perfect for her. She’s also not heavy at all, the perfect size. The added lip gloss was such a fun bonus & made her feel grow up. She’s also seems very easy to clean and wipe off in case of any accidents, I could see my daughter using her for years to come!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Yummiland Large Doll- Ava Ice Cream is SO SWEET!! My 5 year old ADORES her! She is poseable, with an articulated head! The adorable outfit is a firm jelly texture. Removable, with a simple clasp in the back for little hands. She would be fun in the pool. The only negatives I have are the curls are crunchy with gel, but the hair itself is velvet soft so would be fun to play with rinsed out. Also, the little pompoms on the shoes do pop off so that may be a choking hazard for littles.

The idea that she can mix her own lip gloss makes it feel so special for her. The doll itself is very adorable and cute. My daughter wanted to open it immediately and play with her. It keeps her entertained for a long time. And the fact that she can keep the lipgloss and show it to everyone even better for me.

The doll appears very safe to play with. The doll’s hair has some kind of product in it that appears to try to maintain the hairstyle. We’ll see how long it takes for my daughter to mess it up. 🙂

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Yummiland Large Doll- Ava Ice Cream is an adorable and well made doll. The overall quality feels good, and the stylish hair adds to the charm. A fun feature is the included DIY lip gloss, which kids can make themselves, adding an interactive experience to the play. The packaging was generally fine however, one thing I did not like was the Plastic ties that were used to secure the doll. Even after cutting it with scissors, some of the sharp plastic ties still stayed inside the doll’s head, which is not ideal.
