ZAGG Rugged Messenger - 7 Color Backlit Case and Bluetooth Keyboard for 2017 Apple iPad Pro 10.5 - Black

Fits and works perfectly. I love the backlit keys.

This is my second Zagg because they are the best keyboards around for iPads. My original Zagg still works perfectly but was finally looking a little beat. Anyhow I had to have another Zagg because other keyboards ripped up on me and malfunctioned. I recommend that everyone looking for a durable keyboard get a Zagg!

This is the third Zagg keyboard I have purchased, I use it with my iPad Pro. I take my iPad everywhere so I take the keyboard with me every where, it works great. The reason I have had to replace the keyboard a couple of times is because I drip food on it or spill my drink, the keys start to stick. It is a great keyboard and does provide some protection for my iPad. It is a five star product times two !!

We owned a Rugged Keyboard for our Apple iPad Pro for 2 years and it worked perfectly. About 6 months ago we started to notice the cover, on all sides, began to disintegrate. It finally just started breaking away in little pieces. The keyboard remained in perfect condition. We ended up having to give in and buy a new one because of the great keyboard - NOT the “Rugged” cover - not rugged at all.

The Customer Support agent recommended this unit as a replacement for my older Zagg Slimbook Keyboard that was cracking after 4+ years. Other than the bluetooth connection dropping sporadically, it is a great unit. It fits differently than the older unit, and the stand sometimes slips on my lap -- but overall I am very satisfied with it's performance.

I previously had a ZAGG slim book (until I broke it). I love that with the Rugged Messenger, there are multiple angles for propping. I also Love that I can easily remove the iPad from the case when I want to. It's simple because it's just held by a magnet. I Have 2 small disappointments. (1) I have some programs that only operate in a vertical mode. It would have been so simple for ZAGG to have designed the case to hold the iPad when tuned vertical. Clearly the designer(s) don't actually use a tablet much. (2) I'm really disappointed that there is no way to view the % battery life. I understand the blinking light system, but it's not nearly as efficient!

Magnetic attachment to the keyboard is good for quick-release, but no good for positioning except on flat surfaces. And even then, the “folded” cover requires extra room when in use for a lean-to. Best part is the pencil storage…thankfully they kept that from the original slim book. Older model (unfortunately not available any more) was much better for multi positions of iPad.

Pretty good value on this. I'm giving it 3 stars because there is no '2' key - instead I have two '4' keys. Weird. Only complaint aside from that is that there's no way to use the stand portion of the case without the keyboard, so when I'm using this as a second monitor the keyboard is still out and in the way on my desk.

This is the 2nd replacement keyboard order since 5/13/21. The initial keyboard backlight key became dislodged and a replacement was sent on 5/30. That keyboard does not perform the basic functions, i.e. battery check, backlighting or color changes. I've owned a Rugged Messenger for 3 years and need a replacement because the IPad support is weakening. Is there a chance I can receive a functioning keyboard of request a refund on my purchase.
