Zatarain's Jambalaya Rice Dinner Mix, 8.0 oz Box

Simplicity in preparation is why I love this brand. The texture of the rice comes out just right. Tender but done. Spices add flavor to the turkey sausage I cook in it.

So my husband and I chopped up some cabasa, and it was absolutely delicious. We cooked it with the zatareans, and I actually invited my parents over that evening, and it was actually a very one box actually was very filling the whole family, all 4 of us. We're able to eat and get full, and we all enjoyed it. It was absolutely delicious. I will say it does have a little bit of a kick, a little space to it. So if you don't like spicy, if I might want to steer towards a different flavor than this one. But it's I don't like spicy, but this is a very mild, mild mild space. I mean it's light, it is very light, so I mean, if you can handle just a little kick, then trust me, you're good. You're gonna love it, and there's also so many Tiffany things you can do with us jambalaya. By zaterans, you guys, it is hands down absolutely delicious. We have been buying it since, but now we try doing other things. We've now also had it with shrimp, and we've also had. It was little pieces of pork so, but I have to say it was my favorite was the cabasa. And that was the first one that we made, so I don't know if it's just because it's the first time I tried it. That that's like my go to and my favorite, but it was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend going and trying this. If you never have it, definitely. Is the true taste of New Orleans Louisiana? And you are going to love it. Trust me, the prize for the size and the amount that you get. As definitely worth it, and I have no reason to fab, because I already got the product, and like I said, we have been buying it since, so go check it out if you haven't yet, this might just be your family's new favorite!

One of those meals you make on a lazy day when you have a whole family to feed, but you really don't feel like cooking. Quick, simple, and all in ONE pot! I added chicken along with the sausage, and it turned out so good! Definitely an easy meal I'll be making again.

I really enjoyed this! I use kielbasa as my protein, and I cooked it up in the pan for a bit prior to adding in the rice and water. I also added 3 cut up bell peppers. The seasoning looks like it is clumped together, but it integrated smoothly. It took a little bit longer to have the water soaked up/evaporated, but it was still a very quick and delicious meal! It was good warmed up as leftovers too!

It was super easy to make and there was a huge portion- I invited a bunch of people to help me cook and eat and everyone walked away so happy- I didn't even get a chance to take a photo! We added some andouille sausage with the mix and honestly it was quick and easy, I'd love to buy smaller portions for my little family soon!

Zatarain's® Family Size Jambalaya Rice Dinner Mix was a great value and incredibly easy to make. I also loved how simple it was to customize by adding different meats, vegetables, or other ingredients. I really enjoy the Zatarain's Family Size Jambalaya Rice Dinner Mix — it's flavorful, easy to make, and perfect when you need something quick that still tastes good. I'm giving it 4 stars because while it's delicious, it can be a bit salty depending on what you add in, but overall it's a solid pantry staple I love keeping around.

This is a really easy and tasty meal that I really enjoyed making! I did add peppers and sausage to the rice which did elevate it a lot. The rice itself tasted well-seasoned and my family really liked the overall flavor. I would be interested in making this again and also trying other flavors of rice from this brand.

This dinner mix was the perfect size to fee my family of 4 with a little left over. We enjoyed using our favorite sausage and even added shrimp. The spice level was a little much for my youngest but I thought the flavor was really good and not to spicy for my liking.

My family has not bought anything from Zatarain's in many years (not for any particular reason, it's just not something we usually buy), and we were more than pleasantly surprised at how delicious our dinner turned out! This is a great base for a family meal! It was super easy to prepare; we added sausage, chicken, corn, okra, and tomatoes as add-ins, like the box suggested. (It would probably be very nice with seafood as well, but we aren't seafood people ha ha!) With those additions one of these larger sized boxes was more than enough for four people, I'm glad we got the slightly larger box. We added a little bit of additional Cajun seasoning as well (the spice level is very basic, and we like it spicy!). Would definitely reccomend, it makes a great easy weeknight dinner. Definitely will make me consider other Zatarain's products in the future.
