Great reel! Easy to install on your fishing rod. Easy push button casting. No back lashing like open face reels. Reels in nicely especially when you have a big fish to reel in. Easy to set the drag. On a scale from 1-10 I rate this reel a 10 plus.
it's a Zebco 33 for my 9 year old grandson....its a zebeco... thats all that needs to be said
the zebco reels are made well. great for the grandkids and the girl friend to us. no tangles, easy casting. this reel will bring you years of fishing fun
I'm an avid amateur fisherwoman in my mid 60s. I have fished since before I was in kindergarten. I have always used spinning reels because I had always been told, "spincasters are for kids and old ladies who don't know how to fish or use a reel properly. " I believed this, as I was told this by many people, saw that most kids outfits had spincasters, and had never tried a spincaster. However, I, and many other fishers I know, have always had problems with line tangling. No matter how much I paid for a spinner reel, or how good a swivel I used, the line eventually twists. If you don't pay attention, you end up with loops on your reel and eventually tangles or interference with your casting. Then you have to unspool the line and work the loops or tangles out. I have tried every piece of advice regarding how to prevent this, but with little success. Well, I decided that since I'm now an old lady and mostly bait fish or jig, I'd give a spincaster a try. I purchased this Zebco spincaster and have spent several long days fishing on the lake and no loops, tangles or any other problems. Extremely easy to use, excellent accuracy when casting and smooth, tangle-free operation. I believe the lack of looping or tangles is due to the small aperture on the face of the reel, similar to holding the line between finger and thumb, which I would do to get the loops out with a spinning reel. Also the cost of this reel is very affordable and they have a good reputation. I originally decided to give this reel a try due to a recommendation from a fishing buddy of mine who has fished our local lake for 60 years. After borrowing his for a week, I decided to buy one for myself. If you're like me and just want a simple reel that you can grab and go fish without hassles, give this Zebco 33 a try, you won't be sorry.
Thus is the best buy for my money . The only thingI lack is knowing how to fish better.
This Is The Best Reel There IS, In My Humble Opinion! Bought The Original One At The Age Of 15, And THIS ONE At The Age Of 50!
Great quality reel for the price. Smooth casting. I enjoy the bait click feature and being able to turn it off and on.
Bought it for a rod i picked up at a yard sale...good little reel for the money. mostly small pond fishing...highly reommend
I thought I was getting the reel in the picture but boy was I wrong. The price did I paid for the reel that I bought I could have got the same real $10 cheaper from Walmart
Not a shown in pic. They are the NEW junk model. They just keep getting cheaper and cheaper in quality.
