Simple rod and reel that will do it all.
The best fishermen (or fisherwomen) I have ever know used a cheap Zebco, and one of those little round tacklebox things that could clip on a belt loop. They could out fish anyone, anywhere, anytime. I plan on using this Zebco out with my grandkids fixing at the lake. It's exactly what I need, no backlash, and should last me forever just like my other Zebcos.

I have been fishing for seventy years and I have many rods and reels. This combo rod and reel is by far my Cadillac. Get one and you will draw a crowd at the Lake just as I have. Highly recommend 👌

Going after big Blue Catfish
I was looking for a great Blue Catfish rod and reel, without the hassle of an open-faced spin casting reel, and let's face it Baitcasting reels are extremely expensive. Zebco 33 reels and rods have always been my favorite since being a child but had a little trouble on reeling in fish over 20lbs. I did change the line to 50lbs monofilament line on this setup and it holds enough line for me and my needs, and still cast just as good. Now all I have to do is hook into Moby Blue. LOL Have a Blessed one John

really nice poles heavier made then I thought they would be their more for ocean fishing and freshwater but I'm not complaining their very nice poles

got one liked it so much I got another one a few days later,good solid reel and rod my only complaint is its on the heavy side but for catfish it is perfect

Not a bad setup gets a bit heavy and the drag dial gets stuck not sure if it's working to be honest but for 35 bucks can't beat it
