This was my first time trying these, and I was surprised how easy it was growing my seeds for container gardening. I wish I had known about this sooner! I will definitely buy these again.
This one was pretty good. I would order this one again.
Use for two small seeds (carrots) or single bigger seed like Marigolds).
thought it was compressed peat actually looks like saw dust
got on recommendation from friend. haven't used yet. see his results cant wait.
These were cheaper than the jiffy pods, but they were also not nearly as pleasant to Use. The whole reason for these pods is convenience and to not disturb the root ball. They are neither. Jiffy's replacement pods are not as good as the originals that come with the trays, but they are better than these. They are made in Canada if that means anything to you.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Ive used peat pods for my garden for years and Zeedix is horrible quality. Much smaller and very difficult to get access to pod opening. I had to use a knife on most of them. I am attaching photos tht show side by side how inferior the Zeedix is over Jiffy pellets. The small savings is not worth all the extra work and difficulties when sewing seeds.
If you remeber the fire work snakes? they grow as you lite them. well these pods are similar to them except when you add water they grow. not recommended for single use. It was such a mess that I mixed them all up and put in one pot. They do not have netting that keeps yhem intact
Not starter soil at all. More grainy than anything. Does not hold its shape. Seeds do not stay moist in these pods. Unfortunately no seeds would germinate in these. Would not germinate any tomato or pepper seeds at all. I had to go back to my regular jiffy pods. Do not waste your money on these.
these are actually way smaller when expanded than others I've used.
