I was pleasantly surprised at how wel made these end tables were. They are painted a semi gloss finish, not plastic laminate. They go together with a tight fit due to the quality of the hardware that comes with them. Nice bedside or end tables for the price.
Very easy to put together and we'll made for the price. A perfect match for the other two peices I bought.
Just what I was looking for. Love the end tables
I found this extremely easy to assemble. Perfect height for sofa side table and the 2 shelves add extra storage with baskets.
tables were exactly what were pictured and described. they look beautiful in my living room!
The end tables are solid enough for small end tables and especially for the price. The big problem was that there we some minor scratches on the surfaces. Since we bought the tables for the basement we can live with defect instead of return tables.
I recommend you buy this end table IF you are prepared to assemble it. The level of assembly difficulty is medium (with the help of my additional directions) and difficult otherwise. I bought two of these end tables in the same purchase. The first one took me 90 minutes to assemble and the second one took me 45 minutes to assemble. The first one took me longer because I spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out the directions, or really lack of them. A hex wrench is included, but you will need to provide your own Phillips screwdriver. See the attached pictures where I show Page 1 and Page 2 of the directions. Notice the hand-printed directions that I added to the original directions. I wish these additional directions would have been provided. I hope they help you out and save you about 20 minutes in assembly time. Step 1 should have shown that the holes on Part E face to the inside of the table so you don't attach the part backwards. Step 2 and Step 3 should have each been divided into three sub-steps to reduce the difficulty and complexity of assembly. Notice Part %233 in the parts list, which I renamed cylinder nut. This attaches to the end of Part %232 bolt. In the assembly process, the cylinder nut is placed into a pre-drilled hole in the wood. The fit is very loose (i.e., the hole is too big) and the nut easily spins out of position. This was very frustrating when trying to screw the bolt into it. When I was putting together the second table I found out that I could stick the long end of the hex wrench into the bolt hole (before putting in the bolt) to make sure the screw hole in the cylinder nut was lined up properly. I would then adjust the rotation of the cylinder nut using my Phillips screwdriver. This was a BIG help. With all that said, when I unpacked the first table, all the parts were present and in excellent condition. I assembled that table and then unpacked the second table. In doing so, I discovered that Part A, the table surface, had light scratches on both sides (See the two pictures. The bottom side is identified by the four pre-drilled guide holes). I already had assembled the first table, and the scratches were tolerable, so I decided not to return the table. Notice in Step 4 where I added two useful hints to help you make sure that the end table is level. The first hint is to attach round felt furniture pads to the bottom of the legs. These are not included, but can be bought at a hardware store. They help make the table level and protect your floor surface. The second hint is to wait until you have the entire end table assembled and turned right side up sitting on a hard floor BEFORE you fully tighten down all the screws and bolts. This will help make the end table level, too.
opened both boxes and one had scratches on the top like a staple had brushed it at 1st I thought it was foam remnants but when I wiped it with a microfiber cloth I saw it was scratches
I bought this for my Christmas tree, I wanted a small Christmas tree but needed something to give it more height so people can see it over my tables/couch. Anyways, perfect size, simple design, and easy to assemble. I only gave it 3 starts because when I took everything out of the box (the box wasn't torn or broken), most parts were damaged with chipped pain or scratches. It's in black so I can just put sharpie over it, but I should have to either.
