I did an extensive search for compost bins and this product is exactly what I was looking for. It is easy to put together to and is sturdy. It also is a good size and has a tight lid to keep animals out. I think this is going to work very well for my composting.
We compost, my wife saves the scraps and I manage the compost. We've been using a regular garbage bin that I drilled holes in but once you start stacking, the bottom becomes impossible to reach so you can properly turn or sift your compost (I use a pitchfork) to let it break down properly. This 80-gallon bin is huge, more than twice the size of our 32-gallon trash bin. It's airy and it's sturdy enough to hold everything together. The lid is easy to open and close. I love the fact that there is a removable door at the bottom so when it's time you harvest your compost soil, you can access it easily. I would buy two if I needed extra capacity, but the 80-gallon is fine for our needs as we're pretty much in the beginning stages of gardening.
it's great! does what we need. a place to put scraps and yard cuttings, that will eventually turn into dirt! very pleased.
Fills up fast if using for grass clippings, but they decompose quickly in the summer sun in the black box so It works.
It's a good size and easy to put together. Very satisfying for the price. Highly recommend.
Easy to put together. Decent quality
Deceiving description. Thought there was a divider in the middle where the new items were deposited and then when it composted it would fall through slots to below. Now you have to wait for your whole pile to compost to use without adding more vegetation. Defeats the purpose getting rid of the countertop composting can stinking up my kitchen every time I open the lid. Oh well.
it is simple to put together. I don't see why it's called a tumbler to me it is just a bin for extra yard scrapes that can go into my tumbler, when needed. I am satisfied with it any way.
this is junk I don't even know what good it does there's no Tumblr there's no bottom the top is not secure nothing is secure so any rat snakes bugs anything that want to get in there or just going to infest your house and your compost that's not what I was looking for I really just don't even want it at my property but I was supposed to return it I went to the store and he told me to do it by mail by the time I tried to do it by mail I couldn't return it anymore but do not get this unless you want rats and snakes
There was no bottom to this product. Basically a bottomless trash can. Walmart should remove it from their inventory.
