This makes a fantastic coffee table, and at its converted height, is great for eating in front of the TV. I'd give it a 6.5/10 on how hard it was to follow the instructions to assemble, but once it's done, it feels very sturdy and I'm super happy with it. The $9 medium canvas baskets from Walmart fit really nicely in the bottom slots. One word of warning: the springs that help the tabletop rise up are a little over-reactive. You *need* to guide the tabletop up and down, ideally with two hands. Do not raise/lower the tabletop if you have wine glasses on top- they'll be unstable, shake, fall, and break. Speaking from experience. The transition from coffee table height to the higher height (and back down) is more forceful than you'd expect. Note that once it's at the higher height, it feels very secure- you can easily put a whole dinner spread, ceramic/stoneware plates and all, on the table and not worry about it falling or even wiggling. Just don't forget to pick up your wine glass as you're returning the table to the lower height.

Smaller but perfect for an apartment. Relatively straight forward to assemble. Additionally I like the extra storage when top is lifted.More of a darker espresso coloring.It also is a good price for those on a budget.

I liked how this table has a secret spot for your remotes and what not. The one thing I didn't like is when assembling this table together, at the end when you put align the top board of the table onto the whole thing, the holes were backwards.

I bought this coffee table not knowing what to expect for the price. I would buy this 20x over. It is a great quality for a fraction of the cost!!

The table is great though I'm slightly concerned about the softness of the wood. I ended up putting the legs on upside down and the tabletop backwards which had to be corrected, so the screws were in and out of the soft wood. I'd suggest adding some top and bottom, front and back, or color-coded arrow stickers to make the assembly a little more foolproof. It was a good idea putting letters on the baggies of different parts, though. Also where actual screws are going to be inserted, maybe we could get some real pilot holes that will balance the screws? It was hard enough maneuvering inside the box to attach the top, which you have to balance until you get a couple of screws in. The little corner protectors on top seem worth keeping but fall off routinely, so I added a little bit of wood glue underneath those. I also used some wood glue on one of the dowels that that was also inclined to fall out. Still, I'm pleased with the end result and probably would have given it five stars if I hadn't had to spend 4 hours assembling it myself.
