We get our drinking water a well on our property. It is very hard water and has a bit of a aftertaste. After setting up the water filter, I tested our tap water with the tester provided with this filter system and it showed 221 ppm. I tested a glass of filtered water and it went to 0 ppm. The water tastes great and it does not leave any hard water residue on my Keurig or Mr. Coffee coffee makers. I feel better about the water we are drinking and cooking with. *Just note that it does not include a base. We had previously purchased a ceramic base and it works perfectly with it.
works great and the water is WAY better than the crappy city water I had filtered through a PUR water filter, even though PUR water filter did a decent job too.
This is exactly what I wanted. It works great. After reading the directions I had to laugh at any of the negative reviews. They clearly did not follow directions. Over 10 years, I started with a smaller one. As you produced larger ones, I upgraded every time. This product produces the best tasting water since I was a young boy growing up in Duluth Minnesota in the early 60's
This system holds 21/2gallons of filtered water. It is easier to store on a stand than the pitchers that take up counter space. The jug and stand are sold separately. We bought this for grand daughter ad she is on well water. We purchased ours 8 years ago. We clean the unit and change filter every 2 to 3 months as needed. I highly recommend this product but it does need a stand and stone crock jug.
I thought the dispenser should be included for the price. I didn't realize it wasn't. The financing was also 12% and I'm used to interest free. It also wouldn't let me do the financing because something didn't match and I couldn't figure out what or where to change it
it is an excellent water filter the only thing is that on the part where the bottom piece that holds the filters screws onto the main reservoir where you fill up the water on top leaks the sink water into your clean water and I need to know where to get a rubber o-ring or something to stop the sink water from getting into my filtered water because it literally just defeats the purpose of filtering the water when it leaks. other than that it is an excellent water filtration system.
Didn't fit! Does not fit the normal 5 gallon water cooler that I also purchased at Walmart. Also the plastic seemed pretty cheap. I washed the device in preparation for use and noticed scratches on the clear blue plastic. Even tho I used a soft cloth to wash with. Bottom line, by the time I cleaned it and put it all together, it didn't fit and I returned it to Walmart.
It does purify water - of everything. The water it produces tastes terrible, however, and it is actually unhealthy to use for animals. It is distilled water. Despite the fact that it does what it says, I am giving this product 2 stars because the filter and accessory cost would take several years to offset the cost of a distilled water subscription for a 5 gallon bottle. The filters don't last long. And, because the company does does make any dispenser of any kind, actually using the product requires additional money and time investment. If they made a way to at least USE the water, it would get 3 stars. Wish I had returned it for one of their regular large dispensers if I wanted distilled water for the purposes it's used.
It says in the review that it will fit most dispensers on the market. 6" around and 6" deep. None of the dispensers I looked at showed those specs. Just height and width of the actual dispenser. So I bought a dispenser and of course it won't fit. This is useless if I can't find a dispenser that it will fit on. Why not advise the ones that it does fit on. Or better yet have it come with it.
it does not work as easy as instructions say. younger people cold us this product if bought to tave time of takeing care of elderly parents it does no do the trick. to say you time as a young couples yes elderly no
