Zesta is the only brand saltines we buy. We have a fairly large family and routinely do double blind taste tests for the fun of it. Zesta went against two other brands and won hands down. Very few things in our large crazy family are unanimous but Zesta Saltines are and all we buy.
This is the only preferred saltine I considered for many many years, although they have changed a bit in quality, not the same in the quality they use to be, if they changed the recipe I do wish they would go back to what they were like years ago. Still my preferred brand though
These crackers are very wholesome. The memories overwhelm me, as I picture my mom purchasing this brand of crisp saltines. A trip to the grocery store was a real adventure back in the day. My younger sister in the jump seat 🛒, begging for junk food or that must-have cheap toy that promised eternal happiness. 🥰 It was a staple after school, for the tomato soup. 🥫
I've eaten these crackers. It was since they came out in my area in the 70s, but for the last five years or longer, they keep shrinking the quantity and put it in the same box and a taste isn't as good as it used to be the crisp isn't there it's just a dull plain white cracker. The price used to be worth it but now it isn't the price used to be worth it but now it isn’t. Hasn't anyone complained about this before and digitizing cost? Are you ever gonna put any coupons out for this product? I have yet to send hasn’t anyone complained about this before and digitizing cost? Are you ever gonna put any coupons out for this product? I have yet to see coupons for this product now whole entire life. See coupons for this product, my whole entire life
I have bought these crackers for years and like many other reviewers I have noticed a distinct difference in the recipe. The texture is much harder and almost stale like. They used to be crispy and fresh, but quality has gone down. Please bring back the original and not this “restaurant style” recipe.
Do not care much for the new “Restaurant “ style of crackers. They are too thin and a lot of them are already broken. The original style are $8.00 a box? Ridiculous for crackers.
Cardboard tastes better. Zesta used to be absolutely the best crackers you could get but these are terrible. They are nothing like the old time Zesta crackers.. absolutely no taste no salt you had to put stuff on them just even eat these things they’re horrible if you like crackers with no taste at all then you are in for a treat otherwise move onto another brand. These are not the Keebler crackers that they used to be these are gross.!!!! What a waste of money!!! Kellogg s ?? Who makes these now??
First, they shrunk the size of the sleeve. With the new size, they shorted us almost one whole sleeve! Second, the taste was absolutely horrible. Chemical tasting. Waste of money and will not buy again. BTW, I preferred to purchase Zesta over competitors for 35 years.
These are not the crackers I remember eating as a child or even last year or so. I ordered REGULAR Zesta saltine crackers and I was sent "restaurant style" Zesta crackers. The taste was different, not enough salt, and were so thin that you couldn't even put a little bit of peanut butter on them without them breaking or crumbling in your hand.
Kellogg Zesta saltine crackers “best if used by” date was July 23, 2025 - two months and a week AFTER I ordered on 9-30-25 (and received same day delivery). I only just opened today, so I hadn’t checked the ‘best by’ date when I received the order on 9-30-25 because I would NEVER have imagined such an out of date product. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. Would not ever recommend that anyone purchase this product. I recognize that dates are estimates, but the crackers are stale. Just a waste - and very surprising that Walmart would actually deliver something so far beyond its ‘best by’ date.
