We use these for our tarantulas and they work great. They are durable, make for a good display, and the doors and latches work well. We've never had a tarantula escape.

Ok, but check other options too
For the price, there are plenty of similar items on Amazon and other online sellers. Assembly is relatively easy and straightforward. The quality is decent, however on both of the enclosures of this model that I have ordered, I've noticed the hinged lid or top warps after just a few days of being put together so that the center kind of sags downwards. Depending on what you are using the enclosure, for it can potentially create a gap large enough for a critter to escape. Luckily the size of the tarantulas I've had in mine either can't get through the gap or are happy staying put either way. Added photo to show slight warping.

I have never received this item. I bought it for a Christmas gift, paid for it but never received it. I also made inquiry but never heard from anyone.
