Zilla Micro Habitat, Terrestrial Large

We use these for our tarantulas and they work great. They are durable, make for a good display, and the doors and latches work well. We've never had a tarantula escape.

We have a little pond on our property and my grandson caught a frog and is observing it in the terrestrial habitat. We went to the store n bought some moss and fern and things to make it more comfortable for him.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Zilla Micro Habitats Terrestrial. It's a great starter habitat for our baby tarantula. I'm going to add some decor to it and its going to look amazing! Spiders do well in smaller habitats because they do not grow very fast. This tank will probably be great for Ginger our tarantula for a good year or two considering she's only a few months old. I highly recommend Zilla habitats. They are very durable. Will buy from them again.

We have The habitat set up so we can bring small creatures in for brief observation. so far it has been a baby rat snake, monarch caterpillars, five line skinks and the like. the construction is sturdy and the children love to be able to observe from every angle without distortion or frame to get in the way! there is definitely room in the side vents for prey insects to escape so you will need to remain present when feeding to prevent escapees. overall a brilliant little enclosure to bring nature in!

I know they are safe and don't have worry about it escaping! She loves that its clear so she can watch the behavior of the insect.

For the price, there are plenty of similar items on Amazon and other online sellers. Assembly is relatively easy and straightforward. The quality is decent, however on both of the enclosures of this model that I have ordered, I've noticed the hinged lid or top warps after just a few days of being put together so that the center kind of sags downwards. Depending on what you are using the enclosure, for it can potentially create a gap large enough for a critter to escape. Luckily the size of the tarantulas I've had in mine either can't get through the gap or are happy staying put either way. Added photo to show slight warping.

I always buy zilla products have always been good products and good prices. I would recommend any zilla products for reptiles have always been good for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is very small so when they say micro habitat it is just that. I put my small lizard in it but there's really not a lot of room to move around or put anything extra in it. Would be good for kids to collect spiders or bugs from outside so would make a good present.It was pretty easy to put together with no problem easy to open and close also.

I have never received this item. I bought it for a Christmas gift, paid for it but never received it. I also made inquiry but never heard from anyone.
