Zimtown 1500W Electric Indoor Freestanding Fireplace with Remote Control, Black

I could not be more pleased with this heater. I'm downsizing to a very small house and this thing keeps the living room area and dining kitchen area completely warm. Not only does it work well, it looks pretty nice also. If you're considering one of these type of heaters, I could not see how you could go wrong.

It heats up really fast. The only con is the temperature it shows is the internal of the product not the room temperature. I set 81F but it stopped when the room temperature was 72F

Small heater/fireplace that is just right for my tiny house. Works well, heating up quickly and thermostat control. Remote makes changing settings easy. Assembly was just a matter of snapping the legs into place.

Works great! Heats up quickly, easy to assemble, remote is a huge plus. Only downside is the panel in front of the controls on the heater doesn't stay closed, so it just hangs open all the time. Not only is it a bit of an eyesore like that but the panel and the knob on it get insanely hot from hanging above the heat source.

The fireplace itself is a beautiful piece in my living room. Sturdy well designed and built. Unfortunately, after trying two sets of new batteries. The remote did not work. The batteries where fully charged. But the remote was DOA! The fireplace was quite a good purchase. Will buy another next year! The brightness of the flames and the warmth generated from the unit kept my entire living room and attached kitchen quite cozy. The fireplace is a keeper.

The heating element still works absolutely great and it is awesome that there is a remote, but after about 4 days the colored lights broke. It still has the orange lights but the cool colors no longer work and due to the length of time it took for shipping I cannot wait for a replacement so I'm keeping it and just dealing with the fact that it partially broke.

Remote barely works, you have to be so close you might as well reach over with your hand and turn it off/on. Sadly I wanted the remote so I could operate this while laying in bed and not have to get up. Could have saved money and bought one without a remote. Small complaint too is the red lighted temp numbers showing up on outside takes away from the look of an old fashioned heater when you see digital red numbers.

The product itself is fine, but the design in the back is not good. I understand there are gaps so it doesn't overheat, but when the fire is on, the back glows so much that it looks like the wall or even the floor behind it is on fire. It almost looks like sparks are jumping around back there. It feels strange and not very realistic. I really wish it wasn't designed like this. I will be returning it. Sorry. (Pictures attached)

The heater is beautiful. I loved it. But it worked for two days and stopped working. I unplugged it and plugged it into a different outlet and wouldn't work.
