Always use this great product I like to have gallon and quart sized freezer bags to portion my meats or other items when I'm putting away my groceries after a shopping spree. It helps when you use a permanent marker to write on the bag date and item inside. Especially if you occasionally make larger purchase , portioning meats before freezing is easier than doing it when you're ready to take your frozen meat out to thaw.
I do a lot of freezing vegetables and I like the Ziploc bags. I've tried generic brands, but they don't seem to seal as well as these. I actually like these better than the ones with the slide zipper. I can place a straw in these and while closing suck in and get a good airtight seal that holds. I can place a straw in these and while closing suck in and get a good airtight seal that holds. I use the other brand.
I use zip lock bags ALOT for temporary storage. They have come in awfully handy over the years that I have used them. I generally use the freezer quarts, sandwich and snack bags. Those are my regulars. Sometimes I will use gallons.
I use these for freezing the summer produce harvest because they can lie flat and stack, saving room in the freezer. This name brand is sturdier with an excellent seal that prevents freezer burn.
The slider makes these a breeze to seal. Unlike the less expensive regular quart bags, these bags do seem to prevent freezer burn much longer. Expensive but worth it.
Granted, the zipper bags are easier to open and close, but they are very small quart size. The bag material is also of better quality and more suitable for long-term refrigerator or freezer use.
Have used the 'tried and true' Ziploc brand for all sizes of storage bags and really like the 'freezer' type. All Ziploc brands seal tight and freeze well. The box ordered from WalMart is of a different size for each size than what normally offered at grocers and other retail places ~ thus, the WalMart boxes do not fit in the drawer specially made for Ziploc boxes, foil, plastic wrap, etc. This is too big for that drawer, no matter what size ordered online.
I ordered the Ziploc bags 1 gallon size and the shopper got the quart size for me as a replacement. I did approve it, but in all honesty I couldn't read the small print so I received a small rather then the gallon size bags that I had needed. The shoppers need to be a little more attentive to those kinds of details. Thanks
Quality of the actual product is fine. But beware if you order store delivery they will include the worst looking package on the shelf to give you, knowing store customers would never choose it. mine was delivered completely open and a few missing from the package. Shame on Walmart. I bet store management issues such policies.
This product was in the bottom of the box and was crushed as well, caved in is more like it, There were other items in the box that were damaged/crushed as well. Bad, bad packing, no cushioning for anything at all, except the strip of bubble pillows 4 of them , on top of everything in the ox.
