The Zippo Flex neck utility lighter is great for lighting a grill or even candles. The neck on the lighter bends so you do not have to reach and get your hand burnt from trying to light a grill, a candle or any hard to reach place you are trying to reach. I am impressed how well this lighter works for lighting the grill and I do not have to get my hand into the grill so close to the pilot. There is a hook on the handle end of the lighter which is great for hanging up. This lighter is shipped without fluid so the first thing I had to do was put lighter fluid in it. After that it worked like a charm. I am very impressed how well this light works.
Refillable, and durable. Lights every time. Wish it had a fuel window, but other than that, I have no issues with it. It's a good lighter for the grill, or for candles. It's not my first Zippo utility lighter, and I know they last even with heavy use.
The first thing I noticed was how rugged the ZIPPO FLEX NECK UTILITY LIGHTER feels. I needed to fill it and wait 4 hrs. before using it. The flame is gentle and would be useful lighting a candle, campfire, and/or a cigarette. The flame can be adjusted. It doesn't have a jetted flame to solder with or simular applications. It has piezoelectric ignition and I'm not sure how long until it fails. This lighter is an upgrade from the disposable lighters that are hung at the checkout stand. However, I don't think I would use it for daily industrial applications.
This Zippo Flex Neck lighter has been great at lighting things at an angle that other straight lighters can't reach. Sconces in glass on the wall to manipulating to direct a lighter into a tight spot for a BBQ or fire pit. The only downside is I wish it came with at least a small container of butane with the lighter to get started until I could find a store that sells butane more readily.
I received my Zippo Utility lighter from the Spark Reviewer Program. We use lighters in our household almost on a daily basis! From lighting candles, getting the grill started, or having a little bon fire in the backyard. Lots of times I have found that a small lighter will not reach inside my candles, or far enough into our grill, (without burning our fingers), this Flex Neck Zippo lighter works perfect! I love how you can adjust the neck however you need to make it more convenient. You can also adjust the flame size. Another nice feature is the non slip grip. This Zippo comes w/ a hook on the bottom, for hanging/storing your lighter. Something else I love about this Zippo, it has a child resistant safety lock button. To me that is very important! I think this Zippo is a really neat utility lighter and would highly recommend~
This is a great lighter for camping due to the length of the neck. The neck is very flexible and can precisely position the heat in any direction, so you don't run the risk of burning your fingers. What makes it especially nice its being wind-resistant and being dual-flamed provides a reliable light. The slim nozzle makes it easily fit into the opening of lanterns, grills and deep welled candles. Its made of a durable metal construction, and has a rubberized flat back to insure the lighter won't roll away when you place it on a table, and has a child-resistant safety button to prevent any accidents. On the bottom of the lighter is a adjustable flame dial to let you optimize the flame, a nice clip to hang the lighter with, and the valve for filling it. This lighter uses butane fuel and since I already had a container on hand, I filled it as instructed. I found it lights very easily but when I tried adjusting the flame, turning the dial from high to low, made no difference at all? Now that may be my fault as I learned later, that Zippo recommends using Zippo Premium butane in there lighters. So when it needs to be refilled I'll try using there brand and see if it makes a difference!
The Zippo outdoor utility lighter has a flex neck, is windproof, and has a 3-year warranty. It is a trustworthy companion throughout everyday life and uncommon Adventures. It is everything you expect and love from Zippo without the restrictions of using a traditional lighter. It is easy to use and fill, however is still childproof. It is great for all of your outdoor appliances.
This lighter comes empty and without butane, so purchase butane if you plan on ordering. This lighter is easy to use. I received the black one but you csn purchase in silver. The lighter is easy to use and having the flexible neck is convenient so there's no awkward holding of your hand to try to light candles, grills or whatever it is your trying to light, just move the flex neck to the way it's easy to reach wick or area your lighting. It's a handy light to own.
This is a very nice lighter. It's easy to fill: Just note you need to buy the fluid separately. It is pretty easy to light, with the safety switch being on the other side of the lighting button. It would be hard for younger children, but most adults won't have a problem. Seniors or people with arthristis might find it a bit difficult to work both switches at once, which is required. The next bends up to, but not exceeding, a 90-degree angle. It lights upside-down, and does well for lighting grills, etc. There are two minor issues: 1) There is no level window to see how much fluid is left in it. 2) If it's been sitting for a few days without being used, it will not light on the first try. It consistently lights on the second try, though.
Wow! I'm impressed with this solidly-built torch! I love that it has a flexible goose-neck so you can easily get around and into places that a straight-necked torch wouldn't do. It's very "hefty" and that's what accounts for most of my 4-star rating. You can adjust the flame with the adjustable knob on the butt of the torch; however, there's really no huge difference between the max setting and the middle setting. The flame is only an inch long at the most, and it's not like you're going to get a blue flame, pinpoint torch effect. When set at the very minimum setting, it won't even light! You have to be at least midway to get a flame. But what I like about this is the fact that it's refillable, using butane. I knocked off one star for the following reasons: 1) To switch in on, you have to hold the child-proof button down (located on the opposite side of the on/off switch, and it's not really ergonomically located for one-handed operation. Trying to press that button with your index finger while trying to slide up the start switch with your thumb isn't easy! You end up pressing and holding the button with your off-hand, while using the thumb of your grip hand to push the start switch up. 2) No clear instructions on when you know you have filled the torch with a full tank of butane. (I held the butane container, also Zippo, as directed three times, in 10 second bursts. Even the Zippo butane cannister didn't state how long to keep the cannister depressed. I stopped after the third hold down when I noticed liquid seeping at the connection.) Aside from these two points, it's a great fire starter, but again, lighting it is probably a two-handed operation. The tip & flex neck are small enough in diameter to fit into my lantern to light the globes. Easy enough to turn corners when starting a fire in my rocket stove.
