I used to work as a letter carrier in IL and this would have been fabulous to carry with me on those frosty winter days. Now I live in Florida but still enjoy walking and every so often we get cooler evenings and once again, this is a welcome addition to my walk. First of all this is a gift pack so all you need is included, the hand warmer fluid, the warmer with it's fuzzy carry case, the lighter and also a handy measuring dispenser for the fluid so you can easily fill the warmer with the correct amount. And Zippo is a well known and respected name. This hand warmer set has a canister which holds fluid that is supposed to stay warm for 6 hours. Perfect for anyone who is outdoors for much of the day whether for work or while enjoying outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, or cold weather sports. I am going to take this with me next time we attend a football game at the stadium. There are any number of uses you could find. The warmer is compact and comes with a cloth bag to keep it in in use or not. This is an all inclusive kit, the warmer seems very well made, it's easy to fill and heats up fairly quickly, and would be a perfect gift for that outdoorsy person. I like it and I recommend.

I've only had the hand warmer kit a little while and already I'm in love with it. The hand warmer gift set is my new all winter accessory. I received this product from the Walmart Spark Reviewer program. For my honest opinion. The kit comes well packaged with everything you'll need to get started. Having warm hands this winter. First you get a canister of zippo premium hand warmer fuel 4 Fl Oz. The fuel is low odor, fast ignition, and clean burning. Next in the kit is the fuel measurement accessory. You fill up what I call the small tank/accessory. It come with a fill line on it. That measures out a perfect six hours of fuel. And it won't overfill the hand warming unit. The next product that comes with the kit is the Zippo hand warmer it's self. The hand warmer in the kit I received is chrome steel. It's nice and very shinny. The measurements of the hand warmer is 3 inches tall, 2inches wide, ½ an inch thick. The hand warmer is the perfect size for the palm of your hand. The top half of the hand warmer has small holes all over the top. To supply air for the fuel to burn and also let the warmed heat out to your hands. The top half of the hand warmer pulls off. To expose the ignition element for lighting the hand warmer fuel. And to be able to refuel the hand warmer. To refuel the hand warmer is very easy and simple. Simply hols the exposed top of the hand warmer in one hand. The with your hand pull on the bottom to separate the fuel cell/inside from the casing/outside. Next all you need to do is fill the measuring accessory up to the fill line. The turn the fuel cell upside down and pour the fluid into the very small center hole. The fluid transfer is fast. Yay. Place the casing/outside to the hand warmer while its still upside down To prevent any fuel from dripping out. Now your ready for warm hands. Turn the hand warmer back upright. Place the ignition element top back on the unit. Wait two minutes for fuel displacement to be evenly spread across the fuel cell and ignition element. Place the hand warmer in the supplied black pouch for keeping your hand warmer in during usage. There's a Zippo lighter that come in the kit. It will need filled with the hand warmer fuel. Then your ready to go. Just use the.. My thoughts about the hand warmer is. I don't see why you couldn't use the measuring tank supplied with the kit. If 6 hours of heat is to much seeing that once the ignition element is started you can not put it out. It has to burn its self out of fuel. You could probably fill the measuring accessory . Half way up for three hours or one third would only last two hours and so on. To meet your needs. Although I have not tried this my self yet. It just a theory right now. But I don't see why it wouldn't work. Once again. I'm very very happy with this product. It's my new winter buddy. When I think I'm going to be outdoors in the winter weather this year. I rate this product with five stars. It's a high quality item.

The weather has gotten so cold and any way to keep warm outdoors is a welcomed blessing. I used to buy the disposable hand warmers. But they didn't stay warm long enough and once they cooled down they were useless. This Zippo 6 Hour Hand Warmer is perfect. After it cools down it can be refueled and used over and over again. I like the soft little fleece pouch that comes with it. And it comes with plenty of fuel ( 4 ounces) to last for my grandsons entire football season and then I'll be using it for a myriad of outdoor outings for the rest of the winter. And I'll have it for lots of winters to come. I don't have to buy anymore disposable hand warmers. So I am very happy with this product. Make sure you follow the directions, because this is a flammable item, and should be used with caution. You can use the Zippo hand warmer fuel, or Zippo Lighter fluid for the hand warmer. Get the hand warmer ready by filling the plastic fuel filler to the 6 hour mark, remove the two outer parts of the hand warmer, and fill the fuel in the hole in the middle of the hand warmer, light the hand warmer with the Zippo lighter (there is no flame in the hand warmer), and place the two outer parts back on the hand warmer. Place the hand warmer in the cloth bag, and you are ready to start warming your hand/hands. You cannot put out the hand warmer, so just let the fuel burn out if you don't use for 6 hours. It looks more like a medium sized stocking stuffer than a large gift set. I found the item to be the size of a regular chrome, refillable lighter. Once I read the directions and figured out how to fill the warmer, it seemed very easy. The warmer has a flat bottom so that it can be stood up while filling. It also has a cup which makes filling fast and easy. Once I used the warmer, I found that the heat is very gentle but effective. It doesn't burn fingers. I was worried that I couldn't use this item while deer hunting but found that it has very low odor and is flameless. The heat lasts up to six hours, which can also be great for football games and camping. This gift set comes with a 4 ounce can of hand warmer fuel, and a chrome zippo lighter as well. The weight is only 11 ounces, which means it is lightweight and easy to carry. Decent buy if you will use if more than a few times in a year.

This would be great if you could figure out how to use it. I followed the directions. Did everything it said to do, it was never warm. So repeated the steps let it burn longer it was still barely warm on the bottom, but the top piece was hot like fire. So I know that couldn't be right. I gave it so many trys, the same thing happen, only this time I burnt my fingers.....That was my sign to give up on trying to get it to work. I'll attempt it again......

Over the past several days my husband has been ttryuing out the Zippo 6 hour ultimate hand warmer Chrome gift set. We both agree its a nice little gift to give as a secret at work but to buy for oneself we can see. Using the hand warmers that you put in your gloves. This isnt anywhere near as effective as those. But with that being said this comes gift boxed with a nice black velvet gift bag, the lighter fluid to refill in the cute and Funny so appropriate gas can . All very nice to give at the holidays. I would personally say this is just an adverage item, but its also a personal preference. i was just a bit less happy when i actually received it . I was hoping for something more from this.

The disposable ones vary greatly in the time they stay warm. Cheaper ones might only last a couple of hours, while name brand ones claim a full twelve hours of heat. The user can manipulate the time the ZIPPO ULTIMATE HAND WARMER will retain heat by the amount of lighter fluid installed. This product fits nicely in your hand or pocket. You do need to carefully add the lighter fluid to avoid spills and the possibility of a flame when the handwarmer is initially lit.

The Zippo 6 Hour Ultimate Hand Warmer is not worth the money. First of all the lighter fluid to light because the warmer fluid is very strong. The fluid can be smelt after it has been poured into the warmer. The smell literally took my breath away. Secondly, the warmer is extremely hot even with the cover. I did not leave it in my pocket but a few minutes. I was afraid it would catch on fire. I would not recommend this warmer for safety reasons. However, it does keep your hands hot.
