Zippo Typhoon Match Kit

A lighter will always be my primary fire started. Next to a lighter, these matches are next. These matches when lit will stay lit even under water. The flame is large, and the lit time is over 20 seconds long. Only thing I would improve is to make these matches strike anywhere matches, where you don't need a striker to light them.

Great product, will come in handy during a storm.

These are some really good matches. I have tried several of them and they light easily every time. I like that they are long so there is less chance of getting burned and can reach where needed. I also like the container. It keeps the from getting broken or wet. These will work so good during camping season to light those campfires. I will keep stocked up on these all season long. I highly recommend these matches for anyone that does a lot of camping.

RECEIVED MY ZIPPO TYPHOON MATCH KIT AND DECIDED TO TEST THEM OUT. HAVE NOT BEEN CAMPING IN YEARS BUT FIND A NEW USE FOR THEM. THEY ARE EXCELLENT FOR STARTING A BARBECUE GRILL, OR THAT FALL BARN FIRE THESE ARE THE MATCHES FOR DOING THAT. THIS MATCH IS READY FOR ANY ADVENTURE. IT HAS A HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION. IT IS A WATER PROOF CONTAINER THAT IT COMES IN. HAS A STRIKING PAD ON THE BOTTOM AND IS WATER PROOF AS WELL. I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR IT'S RELIABILITY AND DURABILITY.

I love these matches. In all honesty, I had forgotten about matches until I saw this kit. The packaging and the color combination is eye catching. I love the container that comes with it for safety and to keep the product safe and working. I love it and will buy more. I love outdoor cooking and this works great.

We are into being prepared for emergencies. Trying out these matches fit our needs. I am very much pleased that they work so well. First, they are longer than most matches, 3 and 3/4 inches. They much thicker than most matches. The striker is protected with a water rubber cap. Sweet. The matches are enclosed in a sealed container than can hold 15 - 18 matches. When you strike the match, it has a sparkler effect but bigger. The burn lasts for 30 seconds or until the red part of the match burns down. I tried to blow it out, I could not. I tried using a blow dryer on high and it still stayed lit. I put the lit match under water. It bubbled like crazy and when I took it out of the water it rellit itself. I would like a longer burn time, but 30 secs will suffice to catch most dry starters right away, even in bad weather. Just be careful, the burned out match stays hot for cpl mins afterward.

Item came as described but took over two weeks to arrive. Would not recommend based on the speed of shipping.

Saw these demonstrated on Netflix show. Appear to be great to get a fire going. Took a long time for company to ship had to go through Walmart customer service who told me they were lost but the company shipped the order after contacting Walmart customer service.

I like Zippo products. When I was shopping for windproof matches, I was happy to see that Zippo made them and that they came with a water tight container. So I bought one. Unfortunately, none of the matches would light. I wore out a striker pad trying to light them. When I replaced the striker pad with one of the spares that came with the kit, it did not have any adhesive on it to stick onto the case or any other surface. So it was of little use. The only way I could get the matches to burn was to light them with a burning match. Not wanting to pay the shipping to return this item, I discarded it.
