Almost hits the spot
This stud finder works very well at finding stud centers. It seems to have problems accurately identifying stud borders in that it indicates, at times, a border which may not exist. Also, the enclosed instructional DVD refers to a feature that is supposed to point toward a stud, or stud border, but there are not actually any arrows that show up on the LCD screen. This also makes it difficult to tell which way a stud is located from the present position of the stud finder. Overall a good machine for finding stud centers but that's about it. Quite expensive for what the unit does well and misleading on the part of the manufacturer. I have used Zircon stud finders for many years and this is my first disappointment with them.
