Ziyad Al Afia Grape Leaves 16 Oz Jar

I've tried many brands of grape leaves and found these to be the best. They are not torn, they are all usable size, and the stems are all trimmed off, unlike other brands that include tiny leaves, torn leaves, and leave long stems on the leaves.

IT was exactly what I wanted I was able to make home made Dolmas out of the leaves I feel they could be wider but not bad at all a good buy.

These grape leaves are very thin. At first I was a little worried. They were tricky to roll as well, (for me personally). I rolled them up with my stuffing and let them sit overnight in the fridge to stiffen them up. I use a pressure cooker so I pre-rolled them and had them in the pot ready to cook the next day. They cooked up wonderfully but just know when you roll/cook them, most end up pretty small. This is a definite mix of small, medium and larger leaves. I used 2 lbs of hamburger/rice blend and still had many leaves left over from one jar. If I HAD to buy them again I probably would if there was nothing else available, but I prefer the thicker leaves. The taste is good though, so that wasn't a disappointment.

The leaves were thick and difficult to roll with filling. Eating, they were tough. I'll not buy them again. We prefer Orlando brand, thin, delicate and easy to eat.
