I've had this in my car for months an in the heat of summer and it's still sticking
Really cute, fits nice. I should have purchased 2 more.
This thing was really cute until my car didn't start and I panicked. Turns out the key has a remote transmitter and this thing causes the car not to start. Something called a “immobilizer” blinking green key shaped light in the dash. Took it off and car started again. Probably good for a push to start.
This is a dangerous feature. The Bling Ring interferes with the autos Start/Stop system and can cause the ignition switch to fail or not start at all. If if fails while car is moving, a crash can occur.
This is so cute but the metal ring prevented my car from starting. I know it seems odd but when I place the ring over my ignition, the car would no longer start and the immobilizer indicator was on. Once I removed the ring, my car worked again. The car manual stated that the metal ring near the ignition will prevent your car from starting. I wish this was plastic so I could use it.
I used this and put it where my key would enter the ignition. it stopped my car from starting and I couldn't figure out the problem for 2 days. my immobilizer indicator light had turned on. it costed me $45 just to find out my car was having problems sending signals because of the bling. its cute but don't place on the ignition.
Do not buy this, my daughter has a 2018 civic, she bought this yesterday and placed it on the ignition and the car didn't want to turn on(she didnt use the car right away so we didint know it was this) we had to tow the car to honda service ,thank God was covered, but when they check it was the stupid bling, so because it was my daughters fault she had to pay 150$ to fix it, the problem was the key was not responding with the car computer. Do not buy this, but if you want to take the risk, its up to you.
Just paid to have my daughter's car towed over an hour away to the Honda dealer. They removed this ring, and it started right up. I am fortunate ALL I had to pay was the tow fee... $400. The Honda dealer was kind enough NOT to charge me for his time.
2014 Honda Accord. Wouldnt start directly after putting this on. It shut down the communication between the immobilizer and the key. As soon as I took it off the car started right up. Luckily I figured this out before taking it to the dealership. To summarize, if your car has an immobilizer DONT use. If your car does not have an immobilizer, have fun with it!
Do not purchase!!!!! Would give this zero stars if I could. There is metal in the ring which messes with the chip inside your key which causes it not to start. I had to take my 2017 honda accord to the dealership and pay for them to find out it was this product giving the car the problem. Not worth buying!!!!
