Smoked was dark enough to make white license plate not stand out so much on black vehicle which is what I wanted

great opacity.
Excellent opacity. i was worried it would be too dark but my plate is still easily legible but blends into my car color nicely. Very happy.

Works great, may need slight modification.
This tinted plate cover (2-pack) helps my state’s obnoxious plate design to blend in a little better with my black car without obscuring it to the point that I risk a citation. The cover seems sturdy enough, but don’t over-tighten the license plate bolts or it will surely crack. On the back side of the cover around thethe bolt holes are raised areas that made the cover plate too thick for my license plate bolts, so I had to use a file to sand down the raised areas significantly in order to get the bolts to reach the threads in the body of the car. Otherwise, I’m very pleased.

Measure before purchasing
Love the look but the fit is off. The registration date and month stickers on the rear plate are covered by the frame. Just doesn’t fit.
