Cool tatami mat. And by cool I mean COOL-ing! It's thick, sturdy and very nicely made. The natural coconut fiber and jute material is breathable and helps absorb and disperse moisture, so you don't get that sweaty buildup underneath you. It also makes a nice firm surface that I find takes some pressure off my back. I've been using it on the bed when I want a firmer sleeping surface and I can also put my red-light body bag on top of it and use it comfortably. I can see this being especially handy as a guest bed base, a meditation or yoga support or even just floor seating. It's ideal for having a little siesta on the patio. It folds up for storage and is portable, which makes it great for guests or even taking along when you need an extra sleeping surface. I'm also thinking it will be perfect when my grandchild spends the night and wants to camp out! It's surprisingly versatile, too. Because it's so sturdy, I have also used it as a temporary little room divider to keep the kitties apart! Just remember that this isn't something you wash with water. You simply vacuum it regularly and wipe up spills with a damp cloth. With the natural materials, sturdy construction and all the different ways you can use it, I think this is a really useful piece to have around!

This foldable tatami mat is awesome! It is so lightweight and easy to move. It will be great for doing yoga or meditating. It is so zen and looks lovely. I am going to buy a futon mattress to try sleeping on it as well.

the color is gray. a nice Gray. a soft Gray. not a scratchy material. very well made. durable. easy to take care of. there's some way to it but it's not heavy.

This mat is thicker than anticipated. Very well made. Soft smooth surface and has a nice give to it. Can be used as a mat or a partition.

Not what I was expecting. Reminds me of Japanese mats, made out of a solid straw type material. This is still going to be a great mat for my needs.
