Zoo Med BettaTherm Mini Size Betta Bowl Heater, 7.5 Watts

Works as described.

I bought three of these heaters, one for each of my Betta tanks. My tank sizes are 0.75 gallon, 1 gallon and 3 gallons. The 0.75 gallon tank is like a fish bowl and was way to cold for my Betta. This is the tank I needed to heat the most. The heater in that tank is keeping it warmer (73F insteed of 68F) but honestly I would have thought the heater would warm it much better than that since it is so small. The info and packaging claim 5-10 degrees warmer. So it is warming it by 5 but that is it. My other two tanks (1 gallon and 3 gallons) also warmed up by 5 degrees (73F to now 78F) so they are now at a good temp. So I am happy with the product it looks good and well made. They came packaged well and shipping time was fine. They do as they claim for the most part (I doubt anyone could get a 10 degree increase from them). They also fit nicely in the tanks. I did put some gravel down first then the heater and more gravel on the top. The instructions recommend to place no more than a 1in layer of gravel on the top. I however had to adjust that since the little tank wasn't warming up enough, so now all three tanks have a thin layer of gravel over the heat pad (just enough to hide it).

Returned. Was dusty and old looking, with a big piece of glue holding it in the package. The glue left a residue and I didn't feel safe putting it in the tank.
