BASS CANDY!!!!! Small Mouth Bass absolutely love hitting this color twister tail in the Niagara River. Looks similar to Gobies, a prime food source for BIG Bass! I run these off a bottom bouncer weight with a 2-3 foot leader. Nice slow retrieve and just wait for the rod to bend!
I'M BEEN USING ZOOM GRUBS FOR YEARS NOW CATCHING LARGE MOUTH BASS THE COLORS ARE ALWAYS WHAT MAKES THEM SO APPEALING TO THE BASS ALONG WITH THE ACTION OF COURSE I GENERALLY TIE THEM ON 1/8 BALL HEAD JIG AND SO FAR SO GOOD CANT COMPLAIN YOU KNOW YOU WIN SOME AND YOU LOSE SOME BUT OVERALL MY EXPERIENCE HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT AWESOME I HOPE THIS HELPS WITH YOUR DECISION ON WHETHER TO ZOOM OR NOT TO ZOOM GOOD LUCK ANYWAY!!!
These Zoom curly tail grub chartreuse/pearl soft plastics look great, can't wait to try them out! I have a lot of other Zoom soft plastic lures and they work great, they are a quality product at a good price.
These plastic worms are of.good quality. They go onto a jig head just as well as an offset hook. The material is strong and has a good motion when in the water. Great price on these too.
You can never go wrong with zoom. I use fat Albert's as trailers for my chatterbaits, and they always work well. The price was also the best at Walmart than any other online stores. Highly recommended!
Zoom Fat Albert 3" Salt %26 Pepper Grub. 1st, Nice to get 10 in a pack. 2nd, caught about a 2lb bass in a drainage canal 1st time I used them. I used an unpainted 3/16th jig head with a colorado spinner (available at Walmart) attached. I often attach a spinner fishing murky water such as drainage canals and ponds to increase chances of the fish seeing %26 feeling the lure. These grubbs are easy to rig fitting 2/0 %26 3/0 hooks well. The plastic tears on these easier than I'd like allowing it to slide down %26 bunch up. I used a "Wacky" ohl ring on the nose better holding it on the jig's bait holder and just before the hook to decrease tearing. It helped.
Love to use these for bass fishing. I like to use them as spinnerbait trailers. Cant beat it for the price.
The Zoom Fat Albert 3" Salt %26 Pepper is a basic twin-tail grub that works fine as a trailer or standalone bait. The color is natural and subtle, action is moderate, and durability is average. It's a solid, no-frills option — nothing special, but it gets the job done.
The Zoom Fat Albert 3” pumpkin Grubbs are Good. Definitely for Crappie. Not so much for Bass. In my experience, 5 inch Grubbs are better for bass. 4 inch are okay for bass. The fat Albert's have a nice thick body that works well for a 2/0 hook and okay with a 3/0 hook. Light wire hooks are better than heavy wire. I like to use a bait keeper hook, jig or a Texas rig hook and add a Wacky ohl ring to hold it in place for longer life. The fat Albert's are made of a material I find more durable than the Yamamotos. Fat Albert's have good action in the water. Crappie like this color as do smaller bass. This 3 inch size is good on the small spinners such as Booyahs etc. The 3 inch works ok on small chatterbaits as well. Those two applications are how I'm using mine up. My opinion, the Fat Albert's are Good, not great. I like the Kalins better.
Good product. Pic in description makes it seem darker than it actually is tho. Still would recommend.
