picture is crosp and amazingly detailed! night sight works wonderfully. we get pretty strong winds and it picks up movement of plants and sometimes turns the lights on but it doesn't bother us because work great!
Product is good and the customer service is very nice
No matter the weather conditions - be it rain, snow, or extreme heat - this camera is built to withstand it all. Its robust design and durability alleviate any concerns about its performance in different weather scenarios. Now, I can rest assured knowing that my camera will continue to deliver reliable security regardless of the elements.
The two-way audio feature on this camera is incredibly practical. Whether it's giving instructions to delivery personnel or simply scaring off trespassers, it serves its purpose perfectly.
The sound and light alarm on this camera is a great addition. It adds an extra level of deterrence and ensures that any suspicious activity is promptly addressed.
It's such a convenient way to communicate with people on the other end, and the sound and light alarm ensures everyone knows when something is happening.
The only downside for me is that they come with 60 foot cables, and they aren't long enough for my needs. I had to purchase longer cables separately, but I couldn't find them on Walmart.
I ordered this system as a cheap replacement for my old one that got zapped during a thunderstorm. Pros: It does seem to identify cars and people well enough when they are close enough. The video quality is pretty good, including at night. I use continuous recording to catch things happening further in the distance (hogs/deer/coyotes/etc that skirt the edge of the yard). Overall, it's nice to have cameras again. Cons: The audio is okay sometimes, but breaks up other times, and if it's windy outside, it sounds horrible. I was hoping to use the audio because our dogs had an encounter with some coyotes and I didn't hear it go down. Unfortunately, I had to mute the audio because of the wind sounding like someone blowing and tapping on the cameras. My biggest beef with it is that there is no http/s access to the nvr. That's a pretty basic function, and it surprised me that a system with these kinds of bells and whistles lacked it. The only way to view the cameras is either through hdmi splitter (or a gofango switch) to the televisions or through cloud services via their apps. I'm not a fan of cloud services, so I have the nvr in a seperate network that has access to local ntp but no access to the internet. Another option is to take the video feed from hdmi and have another server setup for streaming over the local network and remote viewing through vpn... Or just replace the nvr with something more suitable to my needs. Other observations: There doesn't seem to be a way to tell the nvr not to upload video to the cloud. I could simply disconnect the ethernet port, but keeping accurate time is important to me, so I want ntp. I found that the telnet port is open as well as several X11 ports. An open telnet port is generally considered a bad idea from a security standpoint, and I saw no option to disable it in the settings. I haven't looked too much into trying to connect to the X11 ports because I think this nvr will be short-lived for me. The manual is very basic, showing people how to hook it up and get started, but nothing advanced. I wasn't able to find any more advanced info on their website. Then again, I may have not looked in the right places either. I realize most people don't care about stuff like that, and to each their own, but it's a bummer for people like me who care about basic security and privacy, and would have chosen something different if there had been any indication that these issues were there in the description or reviews. In the end, (for me), it really boils down to not trusting the nvr, so I keep it in it's cage with a snort box to monitor it until I can afford to replace it with something more suitable for me. It is nice to at least have a camera system up and running again, though. Hip-hip, hooray! 🥳
