I WAS SKEPTICAL WHEN I ORDERED THIS KNIFE BUT USING IT NOW, IT IS THE BEST KNIFE I have ever owned. It is weighted so well and the knife is so sharp it is a breeze cutting items as I cook. I would recommend this knife if you are in the market for sharp, high quality knives.
I've been through many knives, I keep sharpening them, they still don't cut 'sharp'. They dull quickly. I thought of giving the knife to a grandson who wants to be a chef. I used it and now he can get his own! I love it. It's the sharpest knife I've ever found.
This is the knife that I have been looking for. It cuts everything like a charm especially my Rhine fruits to perfection. I don't struggle any more to cut these fruits. I absolutely love my new knife. It also cuts any meat and veggies effortlessly. I love it!
I received this knife as a gift for ordering three times with HelloFresh, and I’m honestly blown away. It’s incredibly sharp! I didn’t realize how dull my other favorite knives were until I started using this one. It’s the perfect size for me! Great for cutting carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, and I can slice my steak fajita-style with no problem. After using it for about a month, I trust the quality of this company and will definitely be buying another one.
We really value good, purpose driven knives in the kitchen; this one has a nice weight to it, comfortable handle even good for smaller hands. Since receiving it I have deliberately used this to see how it feels and performs in different roles - it has been excellent overall (more comfortable than the equivalent Global - for one thing, the Zwilling back-end of the blade is flat vs the Global has the blade extending to the end). Haven't used it for long enough to evaluate sharpness retention but the other Zwilling (Santoku) knife we've had for years has been excellent.
Best knife I have ever owned. I used to work next to another my knife, manufacturer and distributor in Portland Oregon metro area. I gave them access to our parking lot on the weekends with they held Christmas sales, etc. I got to know the people there it would go over and purchase their knives. I thought they were excellent until I started using this one. They now know the difference between a very good knife and one that’s “OK.” Willing makes great products. I need to go on their web site and purchase my next one. Did you leave today
There should be a bold large warning: WARNING! BLADE IS SUPER SHARP and you're not familiar with this new utensil, so proceed with caution and move slowwwwly... Sigh, I cut my finger as soon as I started to cut my onion for dinner! Now, I'm intimidated by it.
I absolutely love this knife! I may actually retire the only straight edged knife that I have ever used, the 40 year old “multi purpose” knife that I got when I worked for UAL preparing first class fruit plates in 12/1986. It’s not quite the same but when I find something that I like, it’s the only one that I use for everything except paring. Handles smoothly, comfortable grip, only very minor complaint: I wish that it had come with a sheath.
Received as part of a HelloFresh promotion, this knife has quickly become my go-to during meal prep. The knife itself is balanced and comfortable for me to hold, while the blade is sharp and makes veggie prep a breeze. Highly recommend leveling up your current chef's knife with this Zwilling model.
I decided I was going to give this as a gift to one of my sons. The older one makes recipes and posts to Instagram and the younger one is a sous chef at a restaurant. I haven't yet given it to them so I don't know how well it performs. I therefore gave it a neutral review score.
