ZWILLING Professional "S" 6.5-inch Utility Knife

I wanted a 6" knife, but the 6" chef was too wide for the space in my block, so i went with the utility. It has generally the same functionality as the chef, but in a different shape and with less handle clearance for my fingers. My hands are small so this could be more of an issue for larger hands. Overall, tbe shape of the blade reminds me of a giant paring knife, and i have placed the utility and the paring near each other in the block.

Zwilling are the best knives around. I started using them 30 years ago. Thjis six inch size is very handy and I just wanted antoher one to go with my set. Pay for quality and then take care of it for a lifetime of use.

Perfect size for when you don't necessarily need to use the big chef's knife. Great for multipurpose use.

I have had Zwilling knives for years and I love that they are innovative and move with trends but also still honor tradition. The Pro S line is the perfect example of German cutlery. The forged blades are very sharp and the carbon content makes them very easy to maintain. The full bolster and traditional three rivet handel give me the comfort and grip I am familiar with. I like this size for smaller prep and for slicing sandwiches.

This is a great skinnier blade rather than having to use a chef. I like that it’s not as long as a carving knife, and that I can get closer slices on meat and fish. With this ice hardened and forged blade, the Pro “S” utility does a great job staying sharp longer for clean slices.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have a set of Professional S since 90s and they replaced my old 6in one recently (free after 20x years of abuse) because of a crack at the handle. For those years, this (and other Pro-S) never let me down. They stand behind their products 100% and i can't think of a reason to switch.

The handle is a little too small and not very smooth and not feel comfortable holding... I have cheap one man version and the grip of handle is much comfortable. The reason I did not return is I gave to pay shipping
