Absolutely, great series of blades... compliments my 6 pro chefs ( my go to everything ), my 5.5 pro santoku, my pro 7 flex boning & my pro 10 slicing knife...incredible o.o.b.sharp...balance & comfort when doing long prep sessions...so- different from J. A.Henkels I owned & used since the 80s...these blades are made to do the job & make your tedious work a joy to do...I highly recommend this Zwilling series of knives...Bruce Rosenbaum....
Good balance. Very sharp - but it is new. First time using today. Made Chinese stir fry - chopped and cut up 3 days worth of vegetables. Will be looking to see how well it cuts in 6 months after a good half year workout. But I have a good feeling that this is a well made knife.
Watch out, it is sharp. I needed a new knife and this knife fit the bill. When I can afford it, I want a paring knife from the same company. As I mentioned it is sharp, handles well, and will last forever.
Bought this knife in my pursuit to find the perfect knife for my kitchen. I am not a professional chef, but I do cook each and every night. So far, this knife as met all my expectations. I love the feel of this knife, and it performs well.
I bought this for my husband who cooks a lot. He absolutely loves it! Says it's very versatile and the quality is excellent.
i have been in kitchen since i was 14. i have found this brand will last much longer with a sharp edge.
some of the best knives
Bought myself a 8 inch chef's knife 20 years ago. Today it's as good as the 1st day. Balance, maintains sharpness, easy to maintain and sharpen. So I bought one as a gift for a relative who loves to cook.
This is a serious knife. I selected it based on the Consumer Reports rankings (first, exactly this knife). I am used to using a 10” chef's knife for almost everything. Compared with this one, I find the 8” Zwilling Pro easier to control for some chopping operations. Online knife handling lessons are correcting some of my bad habits though.
Well-crafted, not too heavy but not too fragile - excellent for cutting winter squash yet also able to mince herbs nicely (though I usually use a smaller finer blade for that). For reference, I wear a size 6.5 in women's gloves and am over 70, and I have no problem with the heft of this knife.
