Absorbs castor oil really well. The wool is very soft. It was perfect for using as a castor oil pack.

Good
My first time using castor oil packs. The instructions were really helpful because I had no idea what I was doing at first. After a few uses, I ended up cutting it smaller so I could put it over just one ovary. If you leave it whole, it will cover your whole abdomen even when folded. It's not necessarily soft, but it's also not uncomfortable. I put it under an old belly band I had to hold it in place, then my heating pad over that.
