Progresso makes pretty good soup in a can. It's easier than cooking a large pot of pea soup, and tastes better

We grew up on split pea and bean soup so I keep them on hand. This split soup is really good. It is better than the other split pea which is more like puree. These one has a great texture with the split peas, potatoes, carrots, and ham. It has a natural smoke flavor. I try to eat half a can. But usually I put in crackers and end up eating the whole can. It makes a good lunch or dinner. When I made it from scratch, I added potatoes, ham and carrots, so this is more like the recipe.

My husband and I really enjoy Progressive soups. This split pea soup is delicious and not salty at all. It goes well with a chicken or tuna salad on a cold day. Or any sandwich really. Plus, less the work in making yourself so win win in my book! I like cooking but enjoy short cuts from time to time! Try it, you too may enjoy this soup!

The price could come down just a little but if you like pea soup this is the best canned that I've found. Hearty, filling, and it has a good flavor. Good go to if you need something quick on the dinner table. Serve cornbread and a slice of ham with it and it's a full meal.

Split pea soup has to be one of my favorites! I used to make it from scratch, but have become a bit lazy lately. Anywho, this item is very tasty! My only issue is that it's too salty for me, so I add some unsalted beef broth to it, which really helps!

I love Progresso Soups however hard to find my type in store so I ordered on line. Very Disappointed. The cans were just dumped into a big box with what I would guess the original shipping box, 75% of cans were dented and one Lentil was busted open. Not blaming Walmart since they are now individually wrapping cans unless it is a case.

I'm very disappointed in Progresso. They have started to use genetically modified ingredients in SOME of their soups. Green pea with ham (one of my personal favorites) is one of them. However, on the Walmart website the pictures shown do NOT include the new label (I'm sure the pictures will be updated at some point as the change is quite recent). The use of genetically modified ingredients/organisms may not be of concern to you at this time, but it should be. I hope shoppers will do their own research and make their own decisions about whether this change in ingredients is acceptable to them.

I like the taste of the soup. However, again, seems no care was taken in selection. One can was just fine, one can was terribly dented on the side. I reported this online and received message that my card was credited for the dented can, which I appreciate.

I ordered the 4-pack of split pea soup. What a disaster. One of the cans opened, somehow, and now there's green pea soup all over everything in the box. I've had similar problems many times ordering from walmart.com.
