15 Quart Drainmaster Drain Pan

I've had the same oil drain pan for my DIY oil changes for over a decade. However, despite my keeping it in a temperature controlled garage and treating it with relative care, parts of it started breaking down, in particular it's caps and hinge points. That model has long since been discontinued, so it was time to shop for a new model. I discovered this model being discussed on a few car maintenance forums and it hit all of my requirements. At first, I thought it wouldn't be wide enough to catch the draining oil from my car, but I also decided to switch to a ball valve drain plug, which meant that I could aim the output of the oil with a tube connected to the drain plug. Thus, my main requirements for a drain pan were sturdiness, minimal moving (breakable) parts, and easy pouring. This pan met all of my requirements. I recently changed my oil and it performed wonderfully. The handles are a boon to aiming the oil into a container to bring to the recycling center. So far, I have not seen any signs of leakage or areas of weakness that could develop in short time. I am happy with this item and hope it lasts as long - or longer - than my previous drain pan.

The oil doesn't spill all over the place it goes right to the bottom of the pan, (remove the large red circle) and drains nice and easy by removing the red cap.

High Quality - hope it doesn't leak

This product leaks. Although a nice wide mouth for catching fluids, when the lid is tightly shut and the unit sitting upright, regardless of how tightly or how many times I might try to ensure the threads are aligned - oil leaks out the shiny red lid. Total mess, total waste of $$
