You're almost half the price of auto parts stores. It's just you took too long to get it to me. Well not really… He told me it's gonna arrive one day and then you changed it to another day then you changed it back and then you changed it to another day and it ended up arriving when it originally was supposed to arrive. You don't have your act together all the time Walmart.
First, Walmart delivery was fast, on-time and friendly. The filter itself is well, a Motorcraft filter for my 1996 Mustang. It fits, it filters and 3000 miles from now it will be replaced. There you go.
The product itself was great, but the shopping experience was far from good. I had seen the filter on the Wal-Mart website and it was on sale at half the usual price. I went to the store to get some, but the price on the shelf was the normal price. When I asked the associate, they said the sale price was only available online. So, I had to order the filters online, go back to the store later and pick up exactly the same filters to get the reduced price. Total nonsense Wal-Mart! Do I now have to check all my purchases online first to see if I can get a better deal for exactly the same item?
i goto the brick and mortar store to grab this Motorcraft oil filter, but they're always out of stock. that's a good sign that these name brand filter is more trusted than the base stock, Fram, or other brands so i go on the website and found out they are selling it for almost half price online! the slight difference in the S versus SW is the end/cup of the filter. i had to buy in multiples/ bulk so i have it in stock in my garage and pair it with motor oil to get past the threshold for free shipping.
I spent 10 years in the automotive business. Tear into a Motorcraft filter and compare it to any other brand. You will find Motorcraft has more filtering element and better construction than the brand X filters. Also be sure to check the quality of filter being used by your full service oil businesses. They use cheap filters which cost them next to nothing. Insist on a good quality filter. The substitute below was made by a Kwik Car Oil Change and as you can see is a cheap substitute.
I have owned several Ford F-150's and I always use Motorcraft oil filters on them. I have never had a problem with the filters' performance. Proper lubrication on Ford's post-1991 modular engines is important for extended engine performance and life, particularly for the timing belts.
Ford Motorcraft oil filters are not what they used to be. They're now manufactured for Motorcraft by Purolator, and the filter media doesn't remove the smaller contaminants. At 3,000 miles, my oil was filthy. I've switched to Mobile-1 oil filters, and the difference is indisputable. At 3,000 miles, my oil is still pretty clean and could easily go another couple of thousand more before an oil change. I love my Ford, but Motorcraft has sold us out for the almighty dollar.
I ordered oil and filters July 3. They said it would be here the next day. July 4th my filter came but no oil. It is now July 12th and $75 worth of oil is just floating around out there. They will give me no updates, it just says package is delayed. I have received no other emails.
Your website recommended a filter wrench, I ordered it and it was the wrong wrench.
I order these filters in a "6 pack" for a reason and it is not to have them "individually" throw into a bag loose to be damaged. The Walmart fulfillment workers need some training.
