Motorcraft Oil Filter FL820SW

I spent 10 years in the automotive business. Tear into a Motorcraft filter and compare it to any other brand. You will find Motorcraft has more filtering element and better construction than the brand X filters. Also be sure to check the quality of filter being used by your full service oil businesses. They use cheap filters which cost them next to nothing. Insist on a good quality filter. The substitute below was made by a Kwik Car Oil Change and as you can see is a cheap substitute.

I own a Ford Crown Victoria, FoMoCo's LAST ever car of its class. A traditional, full-sized, body-on-frame, rear wheel drive sedan that is spacious, reliable, albeit LARGE especially when trying to parallel park in SoCal's ever-decreasing parking space, car that NEVER lets me down. To keep it running for the past 26 years since it left the Ford St. Thomas Assembly factory in 1998, I'd always use Motorcraft FL820S oil filter along with any brand of good engine oil. Going forward, I now use Motorcraft synthetic blend, 5W-30 oil. This is the VERY SAME oil filter you would get at any Ford dealership in the CONUS but at a MARKED UP price! Here at Walmart, you can get them for 1/4 of what your Ford dealership is asking for! Same Ford OEM quality as you'd expect buying from a Ford dealership. If you have any Ford vehicles that requires this oil filter, buy them! Heck, even buy them in bulk so you'd save money in the long run!

These motorcraft filters … pound per pound are one of the best oil filters you can buy for the money . Pretty sure they are made by purolator . If you have the ability to cross reference any oil filter you have … regardless of make … I'd suggest . You can hold the filter in your hand and tell by its a well made filter .

You're almost half the price of auto parts stores. It's just you took too long to get it to me. Well not really… He told me it's gonna arrive one day and then you changed it to another day then you changed it back and then you changed it to another day and it ended up arriving when it originally was supposed to arrive. You don't have your act together all the time Walmart.

I have owned several Ford F-150's and I always use Motorcraft oil filters on them. I have never had a problem with the filters' performance. Proper lubrication on Ford's post-1991 modular engines is important for extended engine performance and life, particularly for the timing belts.

I bought the 4 pack FL820S. They were properly packed and delivery for pickup at the store was great. The filter fit perfectly without a problem.

as a retired mechanic I highly recommend using this filter,was having engine noise at startup on my Grand Marquis with other oil filters but problem is solved using this filter due to check valve in the filter that holds oil for engine startup

I own Ford's I've always use Motorcraft oil filters never had an issue and some of my cars that got 250,000 miles on it

Ford Motorcraft oil filters are not what they used to be. They're now manufactured for Motorcraft by Purolator, and the filter media doesn't remove the smaller contaminants. At 3,000 miles, my oil was filthy. I've switched to Mobile-1 oil filters, and the difference is indisputable. At 3,000 miles, my oil is still pretty clean and could easily go another couple of thousand more before an oil change. I love my Ford, but Motorcraft has sold us out for the almighty dollar.
