The grab bars are a great length and thickness for someone to use at the shower. The hardware somea with them, and all that makes them sturdy. Now for the perks! The cushions are in the center of the bar and have fingers notches so the hand fits perfectly. This helps the user feel more secure. Even though my mom feels safer she grips everything too tight. The cushions also help because they are soft foam. Ohh and I love they are black...they match all the bathroom fixtures. The best part is this is a pair of grab bars at a low, low price!!

i gave a for installation simply because a professional did it for me. i have it placed vertically in a stud between the toilet and shower si that it us an easy grasp from toilet and shower bench. the rubber coating ensures my hand wont slip if wet and the black color means that faucets and cabinet handles wont clash.

This is a quality product, well made, stylish and functional! I love the rubber grip over the metal bar. It's another safety measure if your hands are wet when you are exiting the shower.

This is actually the fourth of these that I've ordered. They do really good. Make sure to get into a stud. I've got them in lots of different places in my bathroom I like the black the best. Very sturdy.

We haven't used these yet because we installed them in my dad's bathroom. He is a senior and we just bought a house and wanted to make sure he had additional support getting in and out of the tub as he gets older.

THIS IS THE ONE TO GET!! Not just for elderly assist but many uses. This is a fabulous hand grip - very sturdy, super easy to install (once you do one the rest will literally take 10 minutes) and they come with a soft anti slip grip already manufactured on the handle!!! Comes in different colors. I've bought 10 so far and have them installed in my closet, top of deck, back door, kitchen pantry, hot tub etc. 1. Slip the brown cover ring on both ends of the handle (Brown side towards the middle of the handle) 2. With the large hexagon bolt attach the silver wall mount circle onto the bottom of each end (flat side facing the handle). 3. Hold the brown cover plate up toward the middle of the handle and place the silver mounting plate on your wall and mark the 3 screw openings with a pencil IMPORTANT ---Do this for the top bracket only BEFORE doing the second bottom one. 4. Take a drill bit and drill a hole at each mark big enough to slide in your screw anchors (three holes) 5. Insert a screw anchor into each hole and tap lightly with a hammer (if needed) 6. Screw in the faceplate with one screw (fairly snug but so can adjust as needed) DO NOT DO ALL THREE SCREWS 7. Now push the handle against the wall, hold the cover plate up and mark the placement of the bottom handle. 8. Swing the handle to the side and repeat process - drill your 3 holes for the bottom plate, tap in your screw anchors and screw in one screw in the bottom handle plate. (should now have 2 screws in place - one in the top and one in the bottom) 9. Now your ready to put in all screws (4 more screws for a total of 6) 10. Now slide the brown cover plates over the top of the silver mounting plate and tap slightly to have it over the faceplate and snug against the surface!! May sound harder than it is --- but like I say if you do it once the others will only take 10 minutes!!
