This a great movie showing a snapshot of the history of what went into the creating of the Decoration of Independence. Showing the tension between some of the various states in a musical way.

A wonderful 4th of July movie for the family!
This film has become a family tradition to watch on the 4th of July. Even if you are not a fan of musicals 1776 should be an exception. My only wish would have been some more extras that could be a teaching tool for youngsters.
