Very fast delivery. A very convenient and portable way for your heating needs. Easy to light and very hot. I also purchased the five foot Mr. Heater hose to connect it to a twenty pound propane tank.. Makes it less portable but very economical.
The way it lights is more difficult than the regular buddy heater I have. I have only tried it so far with one 1 lb propane bottle and it works for the first 2 settings out of 3 total settings so low and medium. My reg. buddy only has a low and high (or med on this one). Look forward to using it more but still using my reg. buddy heater till it gets colder. Wish it was easier to light.
I set this heater up in our sunroom (~140 sq. ft. ) which has access to our home through a sliding glass door. Although the sunroom is insulated, the room stay 10 or so degrees below the 70 °F inside. On low setting, this heater makes our sunroom very comfortable to sit and read. I used it first with batteries and ran for 3+ hours (on low) with the fan on to see if it would last. No problems there. Our weather here 6,200 feet ranges from below zero to mid 30's. I bought the ac power accessories so when power is available, I wouldn't deplete the batteries. Although I bought this for emergency power outages, I am now using it when I need a nice quiet place to read or look out at our view of the lake. Very nice heater. Be sure to read the manual for initial setup and safety warnings. The picture of the heater is on the low setting. The other picture should give you the sense of the sunroom size.
This is my second one of these. I replaced the first one because i broke it when i dropped it. I had a good deal of difficulty getting it started the first time, but once i did, it worked great. I attach the converter hose to a 20 gallon tank instead of the two 1 gallon cannisters and get an entire winter season out of it. Gets heavy usage to heat my shed
Very nice to have in case power goes out and you need good heat, very easy to operate, I would take the batteries out when not in use to prevent battery leakage. Great little heater. Well worth the money.
Heats my 12 x 30 shop nicely
Mr. Heater Big Buddy It worked well last year but this month im having a problem with it staying lit. It lights up for a minute then goes out. I noticed something was wrong when a slight breeze would put it out ð¤·ââï¸ i am very disapointed and this is the cold season. Im not a happy customer
Not the exact product and features. On the website it the Mr Hearer Big Buddy came with the 3speed fan. The hearer I received was without the fan.
Box was beat up. It was originally sent to another customer. Plastic side door was broken. I think it was supposed to come with a fan that's the only reason I purchase the heater.. I hooked heater up and it came on... I got to work and don't have time to send this heater back. Not a happy customer.
The only reason why I give such a little review is because it wouldn't work for me. Maybe you have to have batteries because it says electric that being said, my old original, Mr. big Buddy with the same Btu wattage, it's beat up and broken, as it is still works great. The price was great However, for convenience, it's not going to save you in a real emergency. You want the original mr big buddy without the electric option for survival.
