Purchased this as an upgrade to the previous Onn 32GB/3GB RAM tablet previously. While that tablet was a bit better in some respects, I felt this one had better technical specs for less. However it did not live up to those expectations.
This device is definitely lighter weight than the Onn and has a fairly attractive case. However, once I turned it on, I felt the performance was a bit slow and the boot up splash screen graphics did not impress me. I find that whenever I initially boot up any computing device, it is the moment when I'll develop an initial impression as to the its performance and graphics. This one fell very flat and rather disappointing.
My quest for a tablet was based on simple requirements in that I wanted low-cost, strong battery life, 10" display and decent graphics because it would be used as a live feed to monitor several security cameras throughout the day. While the video quality was okay, swapping between different camera views was just alright. As for battery, this one had a far larger capacity than the Onn but it immediately drained from 100% to 98% within 5 minutes of just being turned on. At best I'd get around 4-5 hours of live streaming whereas the Onn lasted far longer. As for the rest of the device's performance, it just didn't feel snappy. In the end, it just felt cheap and underwhelming - even though I realize it's a budget laptop.
Subsequently I purchased the Lenovo Tab M10 HD (which I will later review) and I am FAR happier than any other tablet owned since. That device hit all my marks and exceeded them - plus it was on sale for $99 which put it in the $100 or less price range I wanted.
