I set these mouse traps out in the barn and caught a mouse the first night. I think the bait that comes on the traps has a scent that really attracts the mice. I like that the bait comes on the traps so I do not have to rebait them every few days. Looks like these traps are made well and will last a long time. Great product.
These work very fast. We'd been having a problem with a little friend who seemed to keep finding his way into the kitchen. I'd tried other methods, but they didn't work. so I decided on something more permanent. This took less than an hour to capture him. Must be the cheesy flavor. I'd suggest this for those hard to get pests.
Got the nasty critters moving in? Tired of opening drawers to have a mouse jump scare you? Worried they going to get in something and make you sick? If so grab these traps and some peanut butter, they love the p.b. It's a quick death for them. A lot quicker than the agonizing sickness or death the nasty things can cause.
1 of the traps were broken and a bit hard to setup without getting one of your fingers snapped while putting the trap down. but it did get the job done
These mouse traps are appealing because they are easy to set and are not supposed to require bait, as they are “cheese scented.” Well, they are easy to set. The large bait area made me much less weary of snapping my fingers during the setting process. Two stars for that. The traps apparently interest my garage mice, as I find them set off empty some mornings. The mice have no interest in chewing on the “bait” though. They must just sniff it, as I find mouse droppings around the trap. The only way I caught a mouse with one of these traps was to bait it. Smear a little peanut butter on the plastic “cheese” and you’ll be in business. That defeats the purpose of a trap that doesn’t require baiting. Overall, they are easy to set, just make sure you put some food on it.
These mouse traps are very tricky to set I had to adjust every one of them by bending the staple that holds the rod that engages the bait pan. Almost caught myself in the trap!! After adjusting, I managed to catch 3 mice. None seemed visually impaired. The old style traps with the metal trigger “pan” worked a lot better.
The latch protrudes too far forward, does NOT let the rod/latch RELEASE. Very bad design for a product that has been around for 100 years. Protrusions should be shallower. Takes too much pressure to release the latch. Minor manufacturing tolerance adjustment... I wouldn't buy these again from Walmart or online in general, go to the older manufacturer. Can be purchase at anywhere.
these traps are horrible. some of them I literally cannot get to set %26 others I have to spend 5-10 minutes aligning the parts just so so they will stay set. overall an extremely frustrating product to use!
Absolute garbage. Bought 6 of both, the smaller %26 larger traps for both mice and rats. Both were on sale and we had a mouse that was coming out at night so I figured I’d try this before poison %26 having to smell it. The smaller and larger ones were BOTH defective. They won’t set, every time you try to set them they don’t catch. They snap. The smaller one snapped my fingers and the larger one almost snapped my hand, this is a DANGEROUS THING to be defective %26 if they were on sale for being faulty, there should have been a customer warning. At first I thought maybe it was user error on my part and got my husband to try them and he had the same issue.
This trap is Sooooooo sensitive!!! it's almost impossible to set and place on the surface without it snapping. I hate it! I snapped myself many times and would never recommend as it's dangerous to people.
